Municipal workers find dumped foetus Isaac Chikosi

Municipality workers at Swakopmund found a dumped foetus in a drain in Augustine Garoeb street on Friday. Police in the Erongo Region confirmed the mother of the unborn baby terminated her pregnancy and then dumped the foetus in the drain. The mother has not yet been identified.

Five men arrested for possesIsaac Chikosi sion of drugs Five men are behind bars for dealing in and possession of drugs after a successful police operation in Omaruru. Rodney Goraseb(21) was arrested with 2 full mandrax tablets, 2 quarters of mandrax tablets and 220 grams of cannabis valued at N$2 350 found in his possession. Another suspect identified as Elliot Uirab (28) was found in possession of 15 bankies of cannabis and one 1 quarter of suspected mandrax tablet with a total value of N $775. The three other suspects, Lucky Doeseb (21), Samorai Neib (19) and a 17year-old boy were apprehended for possession of cannabis. According to police reports Doeseb was found with one full, two halves and four quarters of suspected mandrax tablets including eleven balies of cannabis valued at N$525. Neib was found with 98 grams of cannabis. The 17-year-old was arrested when found in possession of a small bankie of cannabis valued at N$50. All five suspects were set to appear before Omaruru Magistrate court yesterday.

The rest of the suspects were apprehended in Okahandja on Friday. The four suspects were arrested by members of the Okahandja and Windhoek Serious Crime Unit. Shaanika Erastus (24), Nehale Stefanus (40), Abraham Shivute (28) and Stephanus Angula (26) appeared in the Walvis Bay Magistrates Court yesterday. The case was postponed to 12 November.
