change in the system in September last year. “This means that since then employers are required to comply with the employment services act they are supposed to report their vacancies with the employment services bureau. If employers do not comply with this act they will be fined N$20 000 or can even receive a two year imprisonment term or both. Employers are therefore urged to comply with the employment system,” said Ngeama. He continued that after the training all employers are expected to use the system. They will be expected to be able to post their vacancies and be able manage the system so that job seekers can apply for various vacancies via the system. Individual job seekers are also advised to log onto the system to register and create a profile and upload scanned documents so that employers can employ directly from the system. painted the walls Liesl Losper

Recently the officers of Namibia Correction Services decided to give back to the community and they decided to paint the walls of the old age homes in Kuisebmond. “Every year we strive to start with a project to give back to the community. After discussion, we have decided to give back to our old people this year. We decided to paint the walls of the old age home. We encourage other government institutions to do the same as we did. The need for help is always in front of us, we must just be willing to help,” Superintendent Amutse said, Deputy Officer in charge of Walvis Bay correction services.
