Recycled Paper
All unused copies of My Wokingham are recycled by Woodside Recycling. My Wokingham is a member of the Love Paper global campaign promoting the sustainable and attractive attributes of print, paper and paper packaging. Our newspaper is printed on recycled paper which will be recycled again into new products. In fact 74% of paper and 83% of paper packaging is recycled into new products; one of the highest recycling rates of any material in Europe. Run by not-for-profit organisation, Two Sides, the campaign seeks to tell consumers across the world all the positive stories about paper, print and paper packaging from its environmental credentials to its ability to improve mental wellbeing, learning and enhance creativity. Even in today’s digital world, paper remains unique in its ability to touch our lives. Paper is renewable, recyclable and the natural support of new ideas and creativity.

My Wokingham announced as media partner for the David Cliff Wokingham Half Marathon

y Wokingham Media Group, known for publishing the only free newspaper in both Wokingham and Bracknell Forest Boroughs, is thrilled to be the official media partner for next year’s David Cliff Wokingham Half Marathon taking place on Sunday 25th February 2024. As media partner ,My Wokingham will bring its extensive reach and community connection to the forefront, working hand in hand with the marathon organisers to publicise the event and support participants in raising awareness of the caused they support. It’s a race that fosters local community engagement, supporting many charitable causes and benefiting from
the invaluable assistance of volunteers. Since its inception in 1984, the marathon has been a showcase for extraordinary athletic achievements, including setting a world-best V65F record in 2023. With a fast and flat route that weaves through the scenic town centre and rural areas, the event starts and concludes at Cantley Park, symbolising the area›s community spirit. Conveniently located for runners from West London, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire, the David Cliff Wokingham Half Marathon is easily accessible via the M3, M4, M40, and M25 motorways, all converging towards the A329M and Wokingham Town Centre.
