Following his election, Donald Trump announced the names of those who will go along with him during his second term as President of the United States, a country considered the world’s leading economic and political power.
In today’s economic and political context, his cabinet selection has garnered both support from Republicans and concerns from Democrats, as the appointees align with the president’s disruptive and controversial ideology. However, it is important to note that most of the chosen individuals have extensive experience in key areas such as economics, security, and politics, which are the main priorities on the president’s agenda.
Among the names are figures close to Trump as well as new allies expected to fulfill campaign promises, especially those related to economic revitalization, immigration reform, border security, reversing policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and countering the global influence of China, its main commercial competitor, under the “America First” strategy.
In this special report, we present some of the key figures in the most important positions, such as the Vice Presidency, the Departments of State and Defense. However, one of the surprises is the appointment of Elon Musk to a newly created department within the government.

J.D. VANCE
Vice President of the United States
James David Vance is a lawyer whose professional career began as a legal assistant in Kentucky. He later ventured into the technology industry, becoming a prominent figure in the U.S. venture capital scene.
In addition to his legal and investment expertise, Vance is widely known as the author of Hillbilly Elegy, a book in which he recounts his political rise and, notably, his story of personal overcoming. This memoir was also adapted into a film of the same name.
Although Vance is a staunch defender of the president’s ideas, in 2016, he was a key player in the “Never Trump” movement. However, four years later, he had meetings with the magnate, as he believed his speech offered “something very different in foreign policy, trade, and immigration.”
His political career began in 2022 when he was elected Senator of Ohio. Just two years later, he has been selected as Trump’s running mate to assume the role of Vice President of the United States of America.
With this appointment, Vance becomes the third youngest in U.S. presidential history to hold this responsibility, following Democrat John C. Breckinridge and Republican Richard Nixon.
Regarding the ideas he supports, his opposition to abortion and support for completing the border wall with Mexico stand out.

MARCO RUBIO
Secretary of State
The senator of Florida and son of Cuban immigrants is internationally recognized for sharing some of Trump’s ideas on immigration and foreign policy. This selection of Marco Rubio as Secretary of State is no coincidence.
The descendant of Latinos holding the most important position in U.S. history earned a law degree with cum laude honors and was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000. Previously, he was also one of the 47th president’s critics.
TIME magazine dedicated a cover to Rubio, calling him the “Republican Savior,” praising his work within the party that opposed Barack Obama. He has also served on the Senate Foreign Relations and Intelligence Committees.
His foreign policy vision regarding nations such as China, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba, along with his experience in international politics, makes Rubio the best candidate for the position.
His legislative expertise has made him one of the “leading hawks on security issues,” and after his appointment, he will represent Trump abroad, becoming the interlocutor for alliances established from now on both within NATO and with other countries around the globe.

SCOTT BESSENT
Secretary of the Treasury
This role is considered the most important financial position and one of the most prestigious within the financial and lobbying sectors of Wall Street. To fill it, Trump has chosen Scott Bessent, one of the top donors and fundraisers for the 2024 presidential campaign and his financial advisor during the electoral race.
Bessent’s knowledge of the financial world is extensive, exactly what is needed for this role. A hedge fund manager, he served as Chief Investment Officer at Soros Fund Management and is the founder of Key Square Capital Management.
His responsibilities will include shaping U.S. economic policy, applying his knowledge of economics in the event of a crisis, as well as carrying out regular duties such as paying trillions of dollars in bills, collecting taxes, and regulating the banking industry.
Bessent, the 79th Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, holds a degree in Political Science from Yale University. Although he has supported Trump in recent years, he previously contributed to the campaigns of Democrats Barack Obama, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton.
Regarding his stance on economic strategies, Scott Bessent is considered an advocate of restructuring U.S. monetary policy, although he does not fully support the strategy of dollar depreciation.
PETE HEGSETH
Secretary of
Defense
Although his career in recent years has been oriented towards media, particularly Fox News Media, Pete Hegseth is a war veteran who has participated in deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as a member of the Army National Guard. He also served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Hegseth graduated from Princeton University in 2003 and has worked closely with various veterans’ groups. However, it was his appearances on Fox & Friends that brought him recognition and caught Donald Trump’s attention. Trump supported him during his first administration as leader of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
With Fox News Books, Hegseth has published three books that are included in the publisher’s best-seller list.
Although he has questioned women’s participation in combat in the past, his new responsibilities will require him to focus on more critical issues. He will be in charge of implementing U.S. military policy at a time of serious international conflicts, especially in providing military assistance to Israel and supporting Ukrainian troops.
Over the coming years, Hegseth will lead the Department of Defense, one of the most significant in the world, with a budget of $849 billion, three million employees, and 750 military bases worldwide.
Hegseth will work closely with Trump on sensitive issues such as national defense and military deployments.

PAM BONDI
Attorney General
Pam Bondi’s presence in American politics is not new. She was the first woman to serve as Florida’s Attorney General, holding the position from 2011 to 2019. During her tenure, she supported the enforcement of Arizona’s immigration law, known as the “show me your papers” law, and challenged Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law.
For years, Bondi worked as a lobbyist alongside Trump’s new Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, with clients like General Motors and Major League Baseball. However, lobbying took a backseat when she joined Trump’s legal team during his first impeachment trial, where he was accused of abuse of power, and later during his impeachment removal trial.
For the 2024 campaign, she led the legal department of the America First Policy Institute, a think tank considered essential to Trump’s presidential victory.
As Attorney General, she will oversee the Department of Justice and redirect immigration policies, which Trump has declared a priority, especially regarding mass deportations.
Restoring citizens’ trust in the judicial system, dismantling criminal networks, and supervising initiatives related to these deportations will be some of her tasks as she accompanies Trump as the nation’s Attorney General.
DOUG BURGUM
Secretary of the Interior
The founder of the real estate development firm Kilbourne Group, co-founder of the software venture capital group Arthur Ventures, and current Governor of North Dakota, Douglas J. Burgum, will lead the Department of the Interior in the coming years.
Considered one of the wealthiest politicians, with a net worth exceeding $1 billion, Burgum initially pursued the Republican presidential nomination but ultimately became a Trump supporter.
As governor, he enacted a near-total abortion ban, prohibited the teaching of critical race theory in state schools, and took other measures that reflect his strong conservative stance.
Known as a businessman fighting for “the best of America,” Burgum has extensive experience in the corporate sector and has been recognized for his traditional conservatism oriented towards business.
American media outlets have closely followed Burgum’s career, especially his support for oil and gas drilling and his involvement in dismantling a protest camp resisting the Dakota Access Pipeline’s construction. This background has raised concerns, as Burgum’s new position will involve overseeing programs and initiatives managing public lands, Indigenous affairs, and the nation’s natural resources.

KRISTI NOEM
Secretary of Homeland Security
Kristi Noem, South Dakota’s first female governor, will become the next Secretary of Homeland Security. Her political career began in the early 2000s after working in several family businesses. By 2006, she had secured a seat in the South Dakota House of Representatives, won a statewide House seat in 2010, and has served as governor since 2019.
Noem is also the author of No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward, one of the most influential books in the United States.
Recognized for her career in agriculture and business, Noem will now lead one of the largest government agencies, prioritizing immigration and counterterrorism.
In the coming years, she will work closely with Tom Homan, Trump’s new “border czar,” and will oversee Customs and Border Protection, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Secret Service.
SUSIE WILES
Chief of Staff
Donald Trump has nicknamed Susie Wiles the “ice maiden.” Her extensive experience as a lobbyist in Florida and as a political strategist has made her a key advisor to the U.S. president in his 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential campaigns.
By 1980, Wiles was already working on Ronald Reagan’s electoral campaign, which equipped her with extensive tools for navigating the political world. She earned the label “Trumpist” for maintaining a low public profile and a calm demeanor under pressure.
One of Wiles’ most notable achievements, aside from Trump’s electoral victories, was securing the governorship of Florida for Rick Scott, a businessman with little political experience, in just seven months.
Wiles will be the first woman in U.S. political history to hold the position of Chief of Staff, one of the most significant roles within the president’s team. She will organize the president’s daily work and coordinate efforts across various agencies.
This appointment confirms Wiles as Trump’s most trusted advisor.
TULSI GABBARD
Director of Intelligence
A Democrat who shifted her political loyalty to Trump, Tulsi Gabbard has demonstrated her influence in the intelligence world. Starting this month, Gabbard will be the new Director of Intelligence Services.
A business administration graduate and a longtime member of the Army National Guard, Gabbard has served in deployments to Kuwait and Iraq. As a Democrat, she was a Congresswoman for Hawaii, where she has lived since childhood.
Gabbard launched a presidential bid in 2020, but it was unsuccessful. Just two years later, she announced her departure from the Democratic Party over “differences with its political direction.” Since then, she has openly defended Donald Trump.
As Director of Intelligence, Gabbard will oversee 18 agencies and departments and prepare daily intelligence reports for Trump.
For many, this appointment was not the best decision, as critics believe Gabbard lacks experience in this field. Additionally, her opposition to U.S. support for Ukraine and perceived closeness to Russia have drawn skepticism.
ELON MUSK
Department of Government Efficiency
One of the novelties in Trump’s cabinet for his second term is the appointment of Elon Musk as a member of the Department of Government Efficiency, which he will lead alongside biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
Known as DOGE, this department will be considered a special commission, operating outside formal government structures but collaborating with the Office of Management and Budget.
Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX and currently the world’s richest man with a net worth of $430.9 billion, contributed at least $200 million to Trump’s presidential campaign and is considered a key public supporter.
Initially, Musk’s term in this position will last 18 months, during which Trump has set a goal to “create a business-oriented approach to government like never before.”
Through his corporate leadership experience, Musk will spearhead efforts to dismantle government bureaucracy, reduce excessive regulations, cut unnecessary spending, and restructure federal agencies.

From my experience in developing artificial intelligence (AI)-based solutions, I see a clear opportunity: the convergence of advanced technology and the aerospace sector can take our country to new heights in innovation and economic development.
AI: A Pioneer in Space Exploration
As in many other fields, artificial intelligence is revolutionizing the aerospace industry worldwide. In the context of nanosatellites like Gxiba-1, AI optimizes processes from design to mission management. For example, advanced algorithms can analyze real-time data to adjust a satellite’s orbit, improve its energy efficiency, and maximize its lifespan.
In various projects carried out by Global Media Investment, we have applied predictive models to manage large data volumes in real time. This same logic applies to space missions, where constant analysis and autonomous decisionmaking capabilities are essential. With AI, nanosatellites can operate more independently, saving time and resources.
From Design to Mission: The Impact of AI

From my perspective, we also need clear regulations that encourage private investment in aerospace technology. Tech companies like Global Media Investment are ready to contribute our expertise in artificial intelligence and data analysis, but we need a solid environment that fosters collaboration and joint development.

The launch of Gxiba-1 demonstrates what we can achieve as a country when we invest in technology and innovation. Reflecting on health in our country means focusing not only on numbers, statistics, or institutional programs, but also on every Mexican who places their trust in the system we have built together. Health is the most fundamental right and the most valuable gift we can secure for our families and future generations. As President of the Concanaco Servytur, Confederación Nacional de Cámaras de Comercio, Servicios y Turismo (National Confederation of Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism), I recognize the enormous responsibility we share with the State and workers to strengthen this system.
During my recent participation in the IMSS Assembly, I reaffirmed what I have always believed: the tripartite model works. It is, in fact, a proven approach based on dialogue,

Mexico faces challenges that cannot be ignored. Chronic-degenerative diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity have reached epidemic proportions. Additionally, mental health conditions affect not only individual well-being but also productivity and quality of life.
In the business sector, we understand the gravity of this situation. That’s why we have taken firm steps to promote health in our workplaces. A clear example is the Entornos Laborales Seguros y Saludables (Safe and Healthy Work Environments Program, ELSSA), created to prevent workplace risks and foster safe environments.

These figures are not just statistics; they represent the productive sector’s commitment to workers. Each participating company is another step toward a Mexico where workplace health is the rule, not the exception.
Our Voice, Our Strength
Representing over 2 million affiliated businesses and nearly 4.8 million family-owned companies, small businesses, and major corporations is both a privilege and a responsibility. As a sector, we contribute 66% of the national GDP, create seven out of ten formal jobs, and account for a significant portion of the country’s tax revenue.
But beyond numbers, we are a living network in every community. We are the small grocery store owned by Doña María in Campeche, the mechanic’s shop, the restaurant, the family-run hotel. We are those who, day after day, give it their all to move forward, as Doña María herself reminded me:
“Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum, I’m sharing what she asked me to say: ‘We trust you and stand with you. Even though we are small, we work hard.’”
And it’s true –small and medium-sized businesses are the beating heart that keeps Mexico alive.
Inspiring Results
IMSS has made significant progress in recent years. The digitalization of administrative procedures has simplified life for millions of members, and a 45% reduction in service-related complaints shows we are on the right track. Moreover, integrating 53.7 million digital medical records marks a milestone in modernizing the healthcare system.
We must also recognize the medical and nursing staff –true earthly angels who care for our families. With more than 117,000 professionals on staff, their dedication deserves our deepest gratitude.
While there are still opportunities to improve services, I am confident that through our business sector representatives in each delegation, we will contribute our professionalism and dedication to substantially enhancing the quality and warmth of healthcare services.
A Future Built on Unity
The road ahead is long, but if there is one thing we have learned from the tripartite model, it is that collaboration can overcome any obstacle. At Concanaco Servytur, we are ready to contribute:

CONGO CLOTHING COMPANY AND SUCCESS IN SOCIAL FASHION
For several years now, the fashion world has extended beyond glamour and selfexpression. Recently, it has assumed a more decisive role as an agent of social transformation. Brands of all sizes have harnessed their influence in the realm of style to support diverse programs and initiatives, demonstrating that the fashion industry is far more than an aesthetic manifestation.
Amid this context, a new clothing brand has arrived in Miami, with a physical store located at 120 NW 25 Street: Congo Clothing Company. Its mission, beyond selling sustainable clothing that shares aspects of Congolese culture, is to support vulnerable individuals in the Congo, particularly women who have been victims of violence.
The brand’s creator is Milain Fayulu, a young graduated of the University of Miami (UM)
with Congolese roots. Fayulu found in fashion and design not only a way to express his art but also a means to support causes that could help his fellow citizens.
According to Fayulu, every item sold in the store, both online and physical, funds sewing classes and training workshops designed to generate income and enhance the skills of women. Ten percent of the profits support “holistic healing programs that promote recovery and foster economic independence.”
