Life On The Yorkshire Coast

Whitby is a charming coastal town, known for its Blue Flag beaches, Yorkshire’s “finest fish and chips” and a looming cliff-top Abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The streets are steeped in maritime history; teeming with cobble-stones and lined with beautiful fisherman’s cottages, some of which date back to the 16th century.

There is a wonderful selection of amenities available, as well as several schools, including West Cliff, East Whitby and Caedmon College.

The traditional seaside town of Scarborough is one of the most popular resort destinations along the Yorkshire Coast and has an excellent range of things to see and do, including various shops and restaurants, an art gallery, open-air theatre and several sandy beaches.
