來電影院冒險吧 ! 戲海無涯，非荷里活沒大明星的好電影往 往不易排期上映；即或上畫了，影迷亦可能一 個不為意就失諸交臂。
Life is Art 盛 夏 藝 術 祭 來 到 第 三 年， 由 《Amy》走到《海報師：阮大勇的插畫藝術》，
MOViE MOViE 為觀眾搜羅眾多容易走漏眼的 藝術紀錄片，配合不同活動，成為一股新戲流。 這一年，我們繼續很榮幸的邀請了不同界別的 翹楚參與盛夏藝術祭，分享他們對電影主人翁 或主題的真知灼見。是次活動更獲甘國亮先生 Life is Art 盛夏藝術祭 節目總監 蔡靄兒

出任榮譽導賞大師，定能為大家帶來更多意外 驚喜。 套用湯顯祖《牡丹亭》中的名句：「不入園 林，怎知春色如許」。每次進入電影院都是一 場冒險——不入戲院，又怎知夏色如許？ 片中 一班各領風騷的大人物對一己之長既有無限熱 情，同時亦展現人生高低起伏的精彩歷程。 今 夏，讓我們痛快地看電影、痛快地被感動、痛 快地去追夢，不許在秋天滿地落葉時才感嘆生 活沒溫度 ...
十九世紀有電影發明以來 , 不同國家各自修行 , 彼此樂於納入近傍的創作或營運體制 , 有幸躋 身其中的工作者 , 橫跨兩世祀的觀賞者 , 都不 能否定其為擴濶思維的精神食糧。 踏入廿一世紀 , 生態驅使人類應接不暇 , 變作依賴任何達者為先的商業行為 , 不斷受四 方八面密襲的唆擺 , 同步將過往細水長流 , 所學 所識的沈澱抽離。電影工業首當其衝 , 生存之 道每每與高科官感掛鈎結拜。形成學術上導演 分流極端 , 受眾亦有回歸各種歷久常青的藝術。 我腦葉中 , 不一定是導演的作品 , 而是他 們樂於把魔術過繼給我們 , 此刻我就想起這兩 位高人富啟發性的真理。 李安 :「每個人心裏頭都有叛道離經的東 西 , 唯有靠藝術的手法 , 才能讓它們自然找到 合適的出口 , 不要想觀眾愛看甚麼 , 要想他們 沒看過甚麽。」
Stanley Kubrick: 「銀 幕 是 如 此 神 奇 的 媒 介 , 它能在傳達情緒與感情的同時仍然饒有趣 味。我想這是任何其他形式的藝術所無法企及 的。」奉勸大家 , 時代如何進步 , 不等於把耐用 的記憶冲洗。
Film was invented in the 19th century from then on, it has been molded into all shapes and forms, to fit into different countries and cultures. Around the globe, filmmakers are pilgrims in their pursuit of filmic techniques and unique styles; both the audience and filmmakers alike cannot deny that the pilgrimage fuels a broadened point of view. Stepping into the 21st century, an unsettling aura lingers in the air - the world is running on jet engines, everyone is overwhelmed by the speed at which things are moving. People’s increasing credulity is most evident in the film industry’s tendency to turn to hi-tech for survival, diverging from traditions, letting the past and its practices slip away. A word of advice - no matter how the times evolve, leave a small corner of your mind for reminiscence: some memories are best left untouched, free from the stain of modernity. (Translated by EC)
Let's embark on a cinematic adventure! 3 years ago, we decided to host screenings of a series of art-related films to start a new trend in local cinema; this, and a multitude of events have eventually prompted the birth of Life Is Art. In the past, we have collaborated with various partners to hold a series of talks, performances and workshops, in the hope that they will enhance viewers’ moviewatching experience. This year, we offer an exciting line-up of acclaimed films, all featuring individuals of legendary status in their respective fields. Moreover, we have invited a number of leading figures in different sectors to share with us their insights. Finally, we are honoured to announce that Mr. Kam Kwok-leung will be the honourable screening master of this year’s Life is Art. This summer, let us immerse ourselves into the passion and dreams of cinema, in celebration of the arts in film. (Translated by BM)
