MODIFY

When a meal order for the CURRENT or FUTURE meal period needs to be changed. 1. Select MODIFY from the Order Summary Screen • If the ticket HAS NOT printed, the associate will be directed to the “Place Order” screen to make modifications to the order. • If the ticket HAS printed, a prompt will appear so the associate can take action based on the desired outcome. 2. Modify: • WHEN TO USE: Associate place the new/changed order can intercept the original meal order prior to it leaving the kitchen. • The associate will be directed to the “Place Order” screen to make modifications to the order. • This action will VOID the original meal order and REPLACE with new order.

Mark as NOT EATEN

MARK NOT EATEN WHEN: The TRAY was prepared but the patient did not eat it and another tray is needed (Patient not in room, tray is spilled, or patient prefers a different meal). The associate will be directed to the PLACE ORDER SCREEN to modify the meal order. The NUTRIENTS will not be counted from the original order but, the two trays WILL be counted on reports for statistics.

Add Additional Items AFTER Printing

ADD ADDITION ITEMS WHEN: Associate placing the new/changed order CAN NOT intercept the original meal order prior to it leaving the kitchen. The associate will be directed to the PLACE ORDER SCREEN to order ADDITIONAL items for the patient. This does not affect the original order and the patient will now have two meal orders for the same meal period.
