Bury St Edmunds based Company celebrates 15 years in Business
Genus Vehicle Solutions are celebrating 15 years in business since it was started by Alan Beckett & Tony Davis in 2001. After working in the motor trade for many years they decided to go out on their own and set up Genus as an alternative to main dealers, supplying all makes and models of vehicles to business and personal customers alike, specialising in leasing After Genus were runner up in East Anglian Start-Up Business of the Year in 2003, they expanded, also taking on new staff. When the recession hit in 2008, they had to re-focus and streamline to survive like many other businesses. “This only made us stronger and focus on Customer Service” said Alan “when we came out of recession we had a great customer base to continue to build on.” Genus, as an independent company, have adapted throughout the years in an ever changing market place but continue to offer their customers free impartial advice and the most competitive leasing deals on a range of vehicles. Leasing companies are now offering deals to private individuals that were previously only available to businesses, this is due to the new financial guidelines overseeing the motor industry by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). With this change Genus continue to spread the word to the public that new

Leasing also removes the risk of depreciation and disposal worries for the customer. “Over the last 2 years we have seen a massive increase in personal leasing and to deal with this extra business we have strengthened our sales team with Peter Barker and our administration team with Jessica Ellis” commented Tony.
