REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON JURISPRUDENCE. M. \V. Bro. Dorsey A. Jamison, chairman, presented and read the report of the Committee on Jurisprud~nce, each item being v9tcd on separately in each -instance, and in each instance on motion duly carried, the report of the committee was adopted.' 1\10tion to adopt the report as a 'I\Thole was duly seconded and carried and- the report entire was adopted, as follows: (As to item No.3, amendment was offered by 1\1. VV. Bro. Van F. Boor to affirm Gr~ndl\1aster Cotton and to reverse the committee, but on being put to a vote the amendment offered by Bro. Boor was lost and the committee sustained.) To the M. W. Grand Lodge of A. F. & A. M. of the State of Missouri: Your Committee on Jurisprudence respectfully submits the following as its report to this Annual Communication: 1.
We recommend the approval by this Grand Lodge of the following decisions set forth and contained i'n the Address of the Grand Master, to-wit: Decisions Nos. 2, 4, 6 and 8.
II. While we can not apptove of Decision No.1 of the Gran,d M'aster, under the law as it now stands (Sec. 231), yet weare of the,opinion that, in order to be fair and just to both sides in a Masonic trial, the law should be amended so as to permit a mem'per not in good stan~ing to be present during the hearing of the evidence and the argument. We, therefore, have proposed and recommended to this Annual Communication the repeal of Section 231 al1d the adoption of a new :;;ecP9n in lieu thereof.
