Receive my warm and prayerful greeting from the Archdiocese of Kampala with many thanks for the support you render to those in need especially in the mission territories.

I am writing to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to you for the financial aid which Missio Malta rendered to our Diocesan Major Seminary St. Mbaag’s Major Seminary, Ggaba. Thank you Monsignor for mobilizing the funds and for positively responding to our pleas for financial assistance in this difficult time. I request you to also convey our deep gratitude to the people of good will who made the financial assistance you rendered to our seminary possible.

We promise to always keep you and our donors of Missio Malta in our prayers, that God may reward you abundantly for that generosity.

Dear Msgr. Valentino Borg,

Today, Feast of the Conversion of St Paul, is the 64th anniversary of my First Profession. Where have all these years gone!? Time flies!

I am a Sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Sion. Last week, on the 20th January, we celebrated the beginning of the Congregation, when Our Lady appeared to Alphonse Ratisbonne in Sant’Andrea delle Frate in Rome. He was a Jew, and his brother Theodore was already converted and became a Jesuit. The two brothers understood the message of Our Lady, to establish a Congregation, to witness in the Church and in the world that God continues to be faithful in his love for the Jewish people and to hasten the fulfilment of the promises concerning the Jews and

the Gentiles. We are to witness to the Jewish people the true image of the Church, and to the Church, the true image of the Jewish People. Our Congregation worked a lot towards the promulgation of the Encyclical Nostra Aetate in the 2nd Vatican Council, and to enhance the relationship between the Church and other religions. Our vocation is characterised by the Word of God, to discover the Jewish roots of our Christian Faith. It is an ecumenical vocation.

This is just a glimpse of our charism. Some of our sisters go to Africa to teach Scriptures in seminaries, parishes and colleges/universities regularly every year. I hope this gives you some idea of who we are. Please pray for us so we continue with our mission in the name of the Lord. God bless.

Dear Editor,

It’s such a hopeful time of year, and I wish you every good thing at Easter and always. May this Easter Sunday inspire you to new hope, happiness, prosperity and abundance, all received through God’s divine grace. Wishing you the hope and beauty of springtime and the promise of brighter days.

It is a really tough time all across the globe due to this pandemic. I hope this pandemic will end soon and our Risen Lord will bring back the normality to this world. Here in my mission Kuditini (Bellary Diocese), a small church construction is going on. The roof work is done. Due to the second wave of COVID‑19 the district administration has placed lockdown till the 30th April 2021. The remaining plastering and flooring work will begin only after 30th April. This lockdown is really hard on everybody here, particularly the street people, homeless and daily wages workers. Though the vaccination has come, not all have got it. Remember in India we have more than 1.35 billion people. I had a plan to organize an Easter program for the homeless and all the downtrodden, around 250 people, but due to this lockdown I cancelled and postponed it to the month of June. I hope by that time this pandemic will subside.

Along with my mission people I wish you once again a glorious Easter.
