Car Club
BUZZ

Looking back over this season’s Car Club activity, we saw a recovery from the effects of COVID-19 as more venues opened and events returned to the calendar. A lunch run to Saguaro Lake Marina kicked off the season, followed the next month by a trek through the back roads to Fountain Hills, up the Beeline highway, to Payson. January saw the return of the big car auctions to the Valley and Mirabel car enthusiasts enjoyed a guided tour through RM Sotheby’s offerings that featured some of the most valuable vehicles for sale during the week. The auctions saw a great deal of action with prices holding firm and rising in certain segments of the market. John Breslow was kind enough to host a contingent of Mirabel Members on a tour of his large and eclectic car collection in February. John provided some wonderful commentary, and everyone agreed it was a highlight of the season and an event we can hopefully repeat next season. March brought the 4th annual Mirabel Car Show where Members had an opportunity to show off their rides, share stories and meet other Members. We had a good variety of vehicles including trucks, new cars, old cars, and even our first electric car. Great weather, cool cars, music, and a big turnout made it a successful return for the event after the COVID-19 hiatus. Winslow and the LaPosada Hotel hosted our annual overnight trip. This iconic hotel and the great roads are a favorite and have become a fixture on the calendar. Next season we are looking to continue your favorites and supplement them with some new venues and events. All ideas are welcome, so send along any suggestions. Have a safe and fun summer. Thanks, Bob
