Aging well is a holistic approach to growing older with vitality, resilience, and purpose. It involves physical health and wellbeing, nurturing emotional wellbeing, and engaging in activities that bring joy. Join us for this 3-part series. All sessions include the chance to win a raffle basket full of items relative to the topic!

• Jan. 7: Healthy Brain, Healthy Aging - Maintaining a healthy brain as we age is essential for preserving cognitive function, memory, and overall quality of life. In this session we will explore and discuss several strategies and lifestyle habits that can help support brain health as you get older.

• Jan. 14: Spiritual WellbeingSpirituality can be a profound source of strength, comfort, and guidance as individuals navigate the complexities of aging. Join our Pastoral Care team to explore ways we can cultivate purpose, meaning, and connection to something bigger than ourselves.

• Jan. 21: The Impact of Consciousness on Physical Well-being with Phil ChardConsciousness influences health and physical well-being. We will examine how different types of consciousness create their own unique biology, the mysteries of the placebo effect, and the powerful capacity of beliefs and expectations to directly affect pain and healing.

Mary Ann, a retired teacher turned author, will come and discuss her published books and her writing process. Part of her mission is to encourage retirees to use their time in creative ways such as writing fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Her published

Special Series Tasting Tuesdays | T Trinity Woods

Each Tuesday in January we offer a unique way to test your palate and enhance your tasting abilities. Space is limited at a cost of $10 for each event. Each tasting lasts one hour, and includes an informative presentation followed by a generous number of samples to taste. Vendors will also have items available for purchase after the tasting.

• Jan. 7 | 2:30 PM | Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar Oro di Oliva will provide a tasting of a variety of fresh olive oils and aged balsamic vinegars. Learn how each is made, and what accompaniments pair well with each.

• Jan. 14 | 1:00 PM | Chocolate Tabal Chocolate will walk tasters through the traditional process of single-origin chocolate-making, from cacao beans to indulgent dark chocolate bars. Taste a variety of Tabal’s craft chocolate after the presentation.

• Jan. 21 | 2:30 PM | Cheese A certified cheese professional from the Village Cheese Shop will take tasters on a tour of Wisconsin cheese. A tasting of seven top artisan cheeses will lead a discussion of our state’s rich cheese history all the way to the exciting present time of artisan cheese making.

• Jan. 28 | 2:30 PM | Beer The Beer Barons of Milwaukee will provide a tasting of six varieties of home-brewed beer, explain the brewing process, and uncover what makes each variety of brew unique.

Good water, abundant ice, and a huge German population made Milwaukee a logical center of the brewing trade. Within a single generation, the city housed some of the largest brewers in America. Although beer was its most important product for only one year—1890—the “amber nectar” shaped Milwaukee’s character and cemented its image in the national consciousness. Join us for a richly illustrated look back at the beverage that made Milwaukee famous, which of course will include beer sampling for a full Milwaukee experience!

This passionate group of women has been performing together for over 50 years for the sheer joy of it! We are offering pick-up locations at both Trinity Woods and Milwaukee Catholic Home as we take the group downtown for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Take advantage of this convenient trip downtown and let us handle transportation and parking for the event.

Feb. 21: Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra: Ken-David Masur Conducts American Voices | 10:00 AM

Music Director Ken-David Masur conducts a powerful program highlighting three generations of American composers. In this stirring performance, you will experience a musical portrait of Abraham Lincoln, a beautiful rendition of From the Mountaintop in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, and classic American folk tunes such as “America the Beautiful” and “Camptown Races” to bring this performance full circle. Enjoy group discount and complimentary transportation.

Mar. 7: Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra: Ingrid Fliter Plays Mozart | 10:00 AM Fliter joins the MSO for Mozart’s smiling Piano Concerto No. 17. This heartfelt program continues with music from Prokofiev’s ballet Romeo and Juliet, complete with a masquerade ball, declarations of love, and a tragic ending for the star-crossed lovers. Michael Sanderling, whose “overriding interpretive priority seems to be sheer beauty of sound…” (The Classic Review), leads this endearing program.
