John Kennedy was the youngest president ever elected in US history. He inherited the Cold War from his predecessor, Dwight Eisenhower, and he faced major challenges regarding Vietnam, the Soviet Union, and Cuba. The US civil rights movement also became a major challenge for the young president. Tragically Kennedy was assassinated in the streets of Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. Join us for this 6-part series as Dr. Crain takes us through the twists and turns of the evolution and history of JFK. All presentations will be held at Trinity Woods and begin at 6:00 PM

We’ll visit areas such as Walker’s Point, the Historic Third Ward, East Town, Old World Third Street, Lincoln Village, Brady Street, and the North Shore, enjoying the culinary treats that define each neighborhood – from chocolate, cheese, cannoli, and custard to bakery, beer, bratwurst, and brandy! We’ll also enjoy a German sampler lunch at Mader’s. Bring your appetite for an educational and fun-filled day in Milwaukee! $55.

Oct. 27: Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 at the Sunset Playhouse | 2:00 PM | T Trinity Woods
9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. The bus will depart at 1:00 PM.

Celebrated on the third Thursday of November, Beaujolais Nouveau Day marks the release of the first wine of the new harvest from the Beaujolais region in eastern France, where it is a huge celebration! We’re joining the party this year with a sampling of this fruity red wine that is meant to be enjoyed while it is “new.” Learn the history of the celebration and nuances of the wine while enjoying French music and perfect food pairings from the region. A wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!
