Dear friends!
Spring is always more than just a season. It is a mood of the soul. It is the air filled with the expectation of change. It is the awakening not only of nature but also of us – our ideas, dreams, and faith in the best.
Today, more than ever, we need this spring – its lightness and bright promises. We greet it with hope: for peace, for recovery, for a return to life in which we can once again make plans, develop our business, travel, and hug our loved ones without anxiety or fear. We believe that this day will definitely come. And each of us is bringing it closer with our work, endurance and humanity.
In this issue, we are not only sharing relevant business stories and new trends. We invite you to a special event – a meeting of Millennium Business Club residents. This is more than a business event. It is an opportunity to feel the power of unity again, share experiences, support each other and be charged with the energy of live communication. It is a chance to be inspired and inspire others. Strong times create strong people. And strong people create a new era. When we are together, nothing is impossible.
May this spring give you new horizons, unexpected turns for the better and the warmth we all look forward to.
See you soon!
Sincerely,
Liudmyla Akimenko
BUSINESS IS ABOUT PEOPLE AND VALUES: SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL CONSULTING FROM OLHA HRYSHCHUK
lha HRYSHCHUK — an expert in production and financial consulting — tells how she adapted her strategies after 2022, what problems companies face, and what steps are necessary to successfully launch a business.
- Mrs. Olha, how have you adapted your consulting strategies to changing conditions since the beginning of 2022?
- I really had to adapt. I really wanted to do what I loved, so I decided to consider consulting for the foreign market, that is, providing services to thirdparty companies. This allowed me to see how they work and what changes they were implementing.
- What are the main problems that most often arise in enterprises and how do you help solve them?
- There are two key areas: accounting and legal and production consulting. In the first, I analyse finances through the prism of production processes, because their changes affect accounting and strategy. In production consulting, I often see inefficiencies in processes that are difficult to notice from the inside.
An outside perspective allows me to quickly identify weaknesses and optimise the system, which improves the entire business structure.
- What differences do you see between consulting for small and large enterprises?
- In large companies, it is more difficult to set up communication due to the large number of employees and the lack of a clear structure. In small businesses, decisions are made faster, as there are usually one or two responsible people. In large companies, the role of a moderator becomes important, who coordinates communication and helps everyone move in the same direction.
- What steps do you take to create an effective team in consulting projects?
- The first step is to clearly discuss the functions of each participant and analyse the communication structure in the company. It often happens that there are unnecessary intermediate links that only complicate interaction. I try to simplify communication, leaving only key contacts between decision-making centres. At the same time, it is important to have a moderator.
- How does your team approach launching a new production facility?
- The process depends on the stage at which we join it. First, it is important to define the vision of the project. I ask the question: what is the value of this project? How is it different from the competitors? If there is no unique value, I sometimes advise considering a franchise or other options.
- What advice would you give to those who want to start their own business?
- The first is to assess what makes your project unique, why the consumer will choose exactly you. The second is to be ready to work on your own. The third is to hire not just employees, but like-minded people. Business is not just about making money, it’s about people and the values you create.
й образа — гіркі; страх і депресія — в’яжучі та холодні; заздрість — кисла;
A SERHII FELENKO: PROBLEMS OF BLOCKING TAX INVOICES IN UKRAINE
s of today, almost every third to fifth company in Ukraine faces blocking of tax invoices or adjustment calculations. Tax and medical lawyer Serhii FELENKO told us more about this.
– Serhii, please tell us what are the main reasons for blocking invoices.
– Before blocking, each tax invoice is monitored: first, for compliance with the signs of unconditional registration (there are six of them in total), then for compliance with risk criteria. The most common reasons for blocking are the following: classifying the enterprise as risky one, lack of a positive tax history, risky transactions, and non-compliance with the established criteria. Unfortunately, even TIs who have absolute grounds for registration are often stopped without reason.
– What to do to avoid blocking TI?
– There are no guarantees, but it is possible to reduce the risks. You should:
• submit a Payer Data Table with UCGFEA/SCPS (УКТЗЕД/ДКПП) codes;
• take care of a positive tax history (timely payment of taxes, submission of reports);
• monitor compliance with the criteria for unconditional registration;
• update data on fixed assets (form No. 20-OПП – notification of taxable items);
• reconcile transactions with the main activity;
• avoid cooperation with companies that show signs of riskiness;
• carefully and correctly fill in the details of the TI.
– What should a business do if the TI is blocked? What is the procedure? Are there any deadlines?
– First of all, you should analyse the reason for the blocking (indicated in the receipt), identify the first event (receipt of an advance payment or delivery). Next, you should submit written explanations with a package of documents: describe the activity, confirm the availability of resources, add information about a positive tax history and the existence of unconditional grounds for registration. This is the key stage. The deadline for submission is 365 days. All documents are submitted in electronic form. If registration is denied, you can file a complaint with the State Tax Service of Ukraine within 10 working days.
– What are the consequences of not registering a TI?
– There are no fines before the 365-day period expires. Thereafter, a fine of 50% of the VAT amount may be imposed, but only based on the results of the audit.
– How much does it cost to unblock a TI in court? When is it advisable to engage a lawyer?
– If the complaint did not help, there are 3 months to file a lawsuit. If the complaint was not filed, there are 6 months. The court fee as of 2025 is 3028 UAH for each tax invoice. If you file a lawsuit through the Electronic Court system, you can get a 20% discount on the court fee.
My advice is to involve a lawyer already at the stage of preparing explanations, because these are the documents that will later be evaluated by the court. If the package of documents is submitted correctly, in 98% of cases the court makes a decision in favor of the taxpayer.
• подати Таблицю даних платника з кодами УКТЗЕД/ ДКПП;
• дбати про позитивну податкову історію (вчасна сплата податків, подання звітності);
• оновлювати дані про основні засоби (форма № 20ОПП);
• звіряти операції з основним видом діяльності;

TAMARA FRANTSEVICH: «ANTIQUES ARE MY LOVE AND PASSION»
Tamara Frantsevich is an art expert, collector, and painting researcher. She professionally evaluates works of art, consults collectors, and has many years of experience in the field of antiques. Today, she shares how her journey in art history began, where she finds unique pieces, and what true artistic value means to her.
– How long have you been interested in antiques?
– My passion began in childhood — I grew up surrounded by books and vintage objects in a family where history was deeply appreciated. Later, I took part in the Podil archaeological expedition and contributed to the Museum of the Tithe Church, which only strengthened my interest. But the real turning point came in 2014, when I was working as an architect in the Netherlands, in a family of “old money.” Their collection — with canvases by Vermeer and Manet — left a deep impression on me. It was then that I was introduced to art dealers, started attending auctions, entered the university, and fully immersed myself in the art world.
– How do you select works for your collection?
– It depends on the client. If I’m working for a collector, I always consider their aesthetic preferences. But when choosing for myself, I look for an emotional connection. I’m especially drawn to expressionists, particularly Schiele, and also graphic works — like those of Gruau. I own one of his pieces, and I’m incredibly proud of it.
– Tell us a story related to antiques.
– While interning at an art laboratory in Brussels, we received a high-profile request to evaluate a painting attributed to Van Gogh. The piece had already been exhibited in a museum in Istanbul, causing quite a scandal. We traveled there to authenticate
Tamara Frantsevich
it — and discovered it was a well-crafted, yet blatant forgery. The most fascinating part?
The canvas itself was genuinely ancient, dating back to the 3rd century BCE, which clearly rules out any connection to Van Gogh. In this field, you must always stay alert — it’s a job that often feels like detective work.
– Do you have favorite places to look for antiques?
– Masterpieces can sometimes be found in the trash — quite literally. But my favorite places are flea markets. People often don’t realize the value of the items they sell for pennies. It’s in those chaotic heaps that true treasures can be found. And it’s for the sake of such discoveries that I truly love this work.

SERGII STETSIUK:
«THOSE WHO ENTER THE MARKET FIRST WILL RECEIVE KEY ADVANTAGES AND THE TRUST OF THE LOCAL BUSINESS COMMUNITY»
– What is the role of the Honorary Consul in the development of economic diplomacy?
– The Honorary Consul is a key element in the development of interstate relations at the regional level. Within the framework of economic diplomacy, our activities include not only the representation of the economic interests of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine, but also the active promotion of bilateral cooperation between entrepreneurs of both countries. We act as a communication channel that ensures the prompt exchange of information on investment opportunities, the legal field, customs and trade aspects. In addition, we pay significant attention to the protection of Moldova’s economic interests and support for Moldovan entrepreneurs in Ukraine, providing information assistance, responding to problems, and contributing to their resolution together with local authorities.
– What investment opportunities does Moldova offer to Ukrainian entrepreneurs?
– Foreign investors can take advantage of tax benefits, free economic zones with simplified regulations, as well as administrative support
at the government level. Areas of particular interest are agriculture, processing industry, IT, energy and logistics. For Ukrainian businesses, this is a real tool for diversifying risks, expanding the geography of activities and entering new markets.
Moldova is already a popular destination for Ukrainian companies. According to
the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, more than 130 enterprises with the participation of Ukrainian capital are currently registered in the country, including about 40 representative offices. Since the end of 2019, such players as the Rozetka marketplace, the Zakaz delivery service, as well as Nova Poshta, which has opened more than 20 branches and launched the NovaPay payment system in five years, have been actively operating. Ukrainian companies are also involved in the infrastructure sector – for example, the foreign project «Automagistrali-Pivden» to reconstruct the Chisinau – Giurgiuleşti road (85 km) is being implemented with the financial support of the EBRD.
– What interests does Moldovan business have in Ukraine, in particular in the Dnipro and the region?
– Dnipropetrovsk region is particularly attractive for Moldovan entrepreneurs. The region is distinguished by a high level of industrial development, a strong engineering school, a developed transport infrastructure and the availability of qualified personnel.
Moldovan companies are primarily interested in importing Ukrainian raw materials: metal, grain, construction materials. The agro-industrial sector, IT industry and logistics remain promising.
In the opposite direction, from Moldova to the region, food products are imported namely fruits, wines, canned goods from the Purcari and Cricova brands. The light industry sector is also actively working – in particular, the supply of textiles and footwear, which is produced by small and medium-sized businesses.
– What business communication tools exist in cultural diplomacy?
– A vivid example of the combination of culture, technology and inclusion was the project implemented by the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova in 2025. The country’s first audio guide in Ukrainian and sign language, as well as the AR application «Find the Dinotheria», were presented. This initiative became not only a cultural event, but also a tool for social consolidation, emphasising openness to innovation and consideration of the needs of people with disabilities.
Thus, cultural diplomacy is not only ceremonial events or cultural exchanges. It is a deep, purposeful process of strengthening ties, based on respect for the common past, openness to modern challenges and the desire to create a common future.
– What are the prospects for cooperation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine?
– The reconstruction of Ukraine after the war will be not only an infrastructure project, but also a civilizational project. It will require broad international cooperation, which Moldova is ready to join as a constructive partner. Our companies are already showing interest i n participating in reconstruction projects - in particular, in the field of construction, road infrastructure, supply of building materials, engineering solutions, as well as in the social sphere – healthcare and education.
In addition, Moldova can act as a logistics hub for the delivery of humanitarian aid, equipment and materials, especially to the southern regions of Ukraine. Given
SERGII STETSIUK – INVESTOR AND INNOVATOR, HONORARY CONSUL OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA IN DNIPRO
the historical, cultural and economic proximity between our peoples, we view the reconstruction process not as a purely Ukrainian challenge, but as a joint endeavour of two friendly countries.
– What advice can you give to Ukrainian entrepreneurs planning to enter the Moldovan market?
– It is worth starting with a thorough analysis of the target segment, studying legal regulations and establishing contacts with local partners. Do not underestimate the importance of personal meetings – in Moldova, trusting relationships play a significant role. I also recommend seeking institutional support: consulates, chambers of commerce and industry, industry associations – all these structures are open to cooperation and will help with contacts and orientation in the local environment.
And most importantly – it is worth acting now. Those who enter the market first will receive key advantages and the trust of the local business community.

amous opera singer Olha BARBEN told our magazine about participating in a popular TV project, supporting the Ukrainian community in Switzerland, and supporting talented children abroad! As always – candid, interesting, and inspiring!
OLHA BARBEN: «THE HARMONY OF BEAUTY AND ART MAKES OUR WORLD BETTER»
– Olha, what new things has 2025 already brought to your creative life?
– This year has been very powerful and successful for me in the musical direction from the very beginning.
I often visit Ukraine. Almost every month I take part in various events and projects: I record wonderful Ukrainian-language songs, create music videos here, work with wonderful, talented people.
I sang at a grand concert in the Zhovtnevyi Palace on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the “Popular Song of the Year”. This is the second time I am participating in the wonderful musical TV project “Song Gathers Friends” as part of the “Kyiv Wave” festival.
My dreams are coming true – to be in Ukraine, to breathe here, to be in the creative process, with talented people, professionals in their field. I am incredibly happy to live here and now!
– During your 15 years in Switzerland, you have adapted to your new environment and achieved significant success in politics, art, and culture. Is it better at home?
– I am deeply connected with the most important city for me in Ukraine - Kyiv. Here I was born, in Pechersk, developed, dreamed, realised my goals, gained my unique experience. Here I spent time with my parents, gave birth to my son, studied at the university, worked a lot. I am glad that I am Ukrainian, and I am proud of my invincible country!
– Why did you decide to join the Ukrainian-Swiss Women’s Foundation VIDNOVA?
– My goal is to strengthen ties between Ukraine and Switzerland, to develop cultural, educational and social projects that open up new prospects for our community.
With the Ukrainian-Swiss Foundation VIDNOVA, I not only support and promote Ukrainian culture and art in Switzerland, but also work together with a strong,
powerful team of professionals. Now I have a new interesting and very important project – supporting Ukrainian gifted children, accompaniment, developing their creativity and talents.
At VIDNOVA, I am surrounded by motivated, active, talented people, professionals in their field. I am very happy to communicate, cooperate and exchange experiences.
– You seem to be completely fulfilled… – I am a happy woman, mother and successful person. My path is difficult, but if I were offered to go through it again, I would gladly agree. I have become what I always dreamed of being, I do what inspires me, makes me truly happy. I am free in my choice – and this freedom is the result of my work, achievements and inner strength.
My inspiration is music. I believe that paintings should be beautiful, books – useful and interesting. This applies to absolutely all works of art – beautiful, harmonious, and positive. Touching this perfection, we will also become better.
– What is your main wish?
– Don’t be afraid of anything, just move forward towards your goal, dream, purpose. Do only what makes you happy!

— Mrs. Inna, the education and training system at Vinnytsia Lyceum «Amadeya» is distinguished by its exclusivity and innovation. And what about the New Year and Christmas celebrations?
— New Year’s holidays at Vinnytsia Lyceum «Amadeya» are a special time when everyone feels magic, warmth and joy. These are not just bright events, but also an opportunity to give each other care, attention and a real New Year’s fairy tale. Every year the atmosphere in the lyceum becomes unique: pupils, parents and teachers together create unforgettable impressions!
For “Amadeya”, the New Year and Christmas holidays are not only the calendar end of the year, but also a great opportunity to do more good deeds, unite people and share love. At the centre of all the festive events is the desire to unite the team and bring joy to both members of the lyceum family and those around them.
— The main element of the festive mood is the unique traditions that unite us all. Which of them do you continue at «Amadeya»?
— One of our favourite traditions is the exchange of kindness and warmth. This year, the pupils decided to show their care in the most delicious way: they made New Year’s cookies with their own hands!
At the cooking classes, the children not only learnt how to bake and decorate dishes, but also shared their good mood. Christmas trees, hearts and stars – each cookie was created with love and creativity. These little creations became part of a festive tradition: the pupils gave cookies to passers-by in the centre of Vinnytsia.
A festive concert dedicated to St Nicholas Day was also held in the city centre. The event featured themed songs and bright dance performances, creating a sense of wonder. The concert left no one indifferent! The residents of Vinnytsia were amazed by the talents of our children and the warmth they generously gave to all the guests.
— The lyceum is particularly proud of travelling, which is an important part of the educational process and cultural development. Have you managed to visit any places?
— This year, before the New Year holidays, the lyceum’s pupils had a unique opportunity to visit England. This trip was a real gift, as the children were able to enjoy New Year’s Eve London, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the festively decorated city, visit famous locations and take part in festive events.
The peculiarity of this trip was that the pupils lived in English families. This gave them a great opportunity not only to practice English in real-life situations, but also to learn about the traditions and culture of England. The families hospitably welcomed the children, organised interesting activities for them, taught them the niceties of the language and shared their everyday life.
New Year’s Eve London amazed everyone with its beauty: bright lights, Christmas markets, festive performances. The pupils walked around the famous Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and the streets decorated with thousands of lights.
In addition to the unforgettable experience, this trip was a great opportunity for cultural exchange and broadening of the worldview. Staying with English families enhances the educational effect of the trips: students not only improve their language, but also learn to understand and respect another culture. It is a unique experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
— Do you exchange New Year’s gifts?
— Another favourite tradition of our lyceum is “Secret Santa”. Every year, this game brings pupils and teachers together giving them the opportunity to show attention to each other. According to the rules, everyone chooses a secret recipient for whom they prepare a small pleasant gift or surprise.
«Secret Santa» teaches children not only to give gifts, but also to appreciate unique moments of care and attention. This is a great opportunity to strengthen friendships, create warm memories and learn to bring joy to others while remaining an «invisible» benefactor.
— I know that you also give delicious gifts to the families of lyceum pupils!
— Every year, the lyceum brings festive emotions not only to children, but also to their families. A traditional surprise is a gift from our chefs – delicious pies that each family receives. These culinary masterpieces symbolise the warmth and comfort that are so important during the festive time.
The pupils solemnly hand over the pies to their loved ones to share a piece of the holiday at home.
Such traditions strengthen the bond between the lyceum and the families of “Amadeya” pupils. After all, the festive atmosphere is not only about concerts or performances, but also about small, sincere expressions of attention.
— What is the celebration like for the whole lyceum community?
— The central event of the festive period at the lyceum is a large-scale New Year’s concert that brings everyone together: pupils, parents, grandparents.
This day is always looked forward to as the children prepare for it with great enthusiasm.
On the holidays, Pupils show off their talents: they put on magical plays, perform fiery dances and musical turns. For each class, this is not just a performance, but an opportunity to show their achievements and make their relatives happy.
Traditionally, the concert ends with warm wishes and words of gratitude. The main purpose of this holiday is to unite the lyceum family and remind that the New Year is a special time for love and kindness.
“Amadeya” pupils understand that celebrating the New Year is not only about Christmas trees or gifts, but above all about warmth, mutual understanding and love that unite people. Thanks to traditions, concerts and trips, the lyceum creates a unique atmosphere in which everyone feels part of a large friendly community.
The magic of the New Year in our institution is the ability to create a miracle not only for yourself but also for others giving warmth that remains in hearts for a long time.

He is the founder of TruckSync, a U.S.–based startup that optimizes freight operations and promotes sustainable transport. TruckSync’s platform is already being actively adopted by the largest trucking enterprises in Ukraine, underscoring its scalability and industry relevance. With a background in logistics, marketing, and business development, Valerii brings a cross-disciplinary approach to building solutions that create business value while delivering a positive impact on society.
VALERII KHOMYNSKYI
LEADER IN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND INNOVATOR IN AI & LOGISTICS
A Digital Co-Pilot for Every Fleet
TruckSync combines real-time cargo tracking, route planning, weight-limit monitoring, and regulatory compliance in a single dashboard. Dispatchers see only the metrics that matter—fuel burn, dwell time, ETA variance—while the platform’s AI weighs traffic, weather, and load history to recommend smarter dispatch schedules. The result is fewer empty miles, lower carbon emissions, and measurable savings on tolls and fines.
Protecting Infrastructure as Well as Bottom Lines
Road damage from overloaded trucks costs taxpayers billions. TruckSync’s
weight-sensor integration flags excess loads before a driver leaves the yard and can alert highway officials when violations do occur. Early pilots show a sharp drop in overweight tickets and an extended lifespan for vulnerable bridges.
Success Stories on the Road
Illinois-based Drive Up Inc. reported a 15 percent reduction in fuel consumption and a 10 percent jump in on-time deliveries within six months of onboarding. VDT Inc. used TruckSync’s load-consolidation module to raise load density by 18 percent, slashing empty mileage and boosting margins. Fleet managers praise the clean
interface that helped staff adopt the system quickly.
Green Gains and Global Ambitions
Every optimized route conserves fuel and trims CO2. The next software release will map charging stations and track range data for electric trucks, easing the industry’s transition to alternative fuels. Khomynskyi believes the same model can be localized for road networks from Poland to Peru, creating a worldwide ripple effect of lower emissions and healthier public budgets.
Economic Inclusion for Smaller Carriers
By automating paperwork and compliance checks, TruckSync lowers the barrier to entry for small and mid-sized fleets. These operators—often the first to feel fuel-price shocks—can now compete on service quality rather than sheer scale, strengthening regional supply chains and keeping goods affordable for consumers.
From
Cross-Disciplinary Idea to Industry Standard
Whether optimizing ad spend or reinventing freight lanes, Khomynskyi’s method is constant: define the KPI, test, iterate. It is a mindset that trucking’s biggest players—and the Ukrainian giants now piloting TruckSync— have quickly embraced. As more carriers demand verifiable results, his brand of measurable innovation is poised to become the new baseline across logistics.
“Innovation isn’t bound by geography,” Valerii says. “If we can make roads last longer and air cleaner, everybody wins.”
With TruckSync’s early traction and Khomynskyi’s relentless focus on data, that win looks increasingly inevitable.

reative, sociable, full of life and extremely diverse! Our guest today is Tetiana HAIDUK – a psychologist by education, a photographer and writer by vocation. Tetiana works with children at a family alternative school in Kyiv, and at the same time is engaged in photography, in order not just to capture a moment, but to convey a story in the frame. Let’s get to know each other!
– Tetiana, have you always been such a multifaceted and creative person?
– I have always strived for development and been open to new ideas. But today, looking at myself, I see how my interests and hobbies have gradually grown and taken shape. It became a natural process that helped me find harmony in different directions.
– Now you take photos, write prose, teach psychology and ethics, and work with children. When do you manage to do it all?
– All of this requires organisation and clear prioritisation. I combine these activities because each of them brings me pleasure and development. Working with children at the Smart Up private school and teaching psychology, I not only share my knowledge but also constantly enrich my experience. I am also a mother - of a 20-year-old son.
Photography for me is a creative outlet, and prose allows me to express myself through words.
TETIANA HAIDUK:
«I PHOTOGRAPH LIFE AS IT IS»
– How do you manage to combine photography and psychology?
– Photography is a way to capture emotions and moments that often go unseen. It helps me explore people and the world, opening up new horizons. Psychology and photography are intertwined: while shooting, I carefully observe people’s emotions, gestures, and feelings, which allows me to better understand their inner states.
– What projects are you currently prioritising? What do you want to achieve?
– My priority now is to combine my creative and professional efforts: working on articles for international magazines, creating educational programmes for children and developing photography as an expression of my inner self. I strive to develop as a professional, find new opportunities for self-expression and work for the benefit of society.
– What does it mean to be a confident woman, in your opinion?
– A confident woman is one who knows herself, her strengths and weaknesses. She is able to take on the challenges of life without fear of mistakes and moves forward respecting herself and others. It is an inner balance when a woman listens to herself and understands that her choice is her strength.
SHE IS AN ARTIST, MODEL, PRESENTER, MAKEUP ARTIST, PHOTOGRAPHER, PSYCHOLOGIST, WRITER, MOTHER OF A BEAUTIFUL SON AND JUST A WOMAN
– Advise our readers on how to stay in the resource.
– It is possible to stay in the resource if you take care of yourself, listen to your needs and do not forget about rest. It is important to be able to say “no” when necessary and take care of your emotions, because our energy is the result of harmony between body, mind and spirit. Never forget that you are important, and your inner harmony is the basis for healthy relationships with others.

— What are the ways to optimise the training of doctors in modern conditions that will provide highly qualified, competent, and responsible specialists?
— Taking into account the current challenges and the rapid development of medical science and technology, optimising the training of doctors is an extremely important task. There are many ways to achieve this goal, including:
• updating curricula;
• integrating the latest scientific achievements;
• introducing innovative teaching methods;
• strengthening the practical component;
• developing a system of continuous professional development (CPD);
• improving the qualifications of teaching staff;
• creating an effective system of evaluating results;
• providing thorough feedback on the success of training in order to improve it.
— What role does the student scientific circle play in the training of medical personnel in the context of the reform of the Ukrainian healthcare system?
— The Student Scientific Circle (SSC) is of significant importance in the formation of future medical specialists in the context of the transformation of the healthcare system in Ukraine. In particular, it contributes to:
• deeper mastery of academic disciplines;
• development of practical skills;
• formation of research skills;
• improvement of soft skills;
• professional growth;
• adaptation to new requirements of the medical field.
Thus, the SSC is an effective tool for training competent, proactive and competitive specialists capable of working effectively in the conditions of the reformed medical system.
— What are the main guidelines of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences in the process of training medical professionals?
— In my opinion, the main vectors of the Department of Physiology, Philosophy and Social Sciences in the formation of future doctors can be formulated as follows:

YULIA ARDATYI:
“FOR ME, THIS IS NOT JUST A PROFESSION, IT’S A PATH I WALK ALONGSIDE OTHERS — TOWARD MY TRUE SELF.”
Yulia Ardatyi is a coach of transformational courses and games for children and adults, a ThetaHealing practitioner, a specialist in metaphorical associative cards (MAC), and an energy coach.
– How do you combine financial knowledge and psychological practices in your work?
– From my experience, working only with finances is like treating a symptom without addressing the cause. Each of us has an internal money behavior script — shaped by our upbringing, experiences, and beliefs. That’s why I combine financial literacy with psychology and energy practices. I work with budgets and goals, but also with internal blocks, fears, and limiting beliefs. This approach leads to deeper and more stable results — not just “earning more,” but transforming one’s relationship with money, finding inner support, and building financial life from a new level of quality.
– What transformational games do you use for participants’ development?
– I work with several powerful games that have changed many lives over the years. For example, the game “Money Time” reveals what lies behind a person’s current financial state, helps identify blocks, and guides them to a new level. “Order in the Head” is indispensable when there are a thousand thoughts but no movement forward — it literally brings clarity to the mind. Another is “The Woman Inside Me” — a game about tenderness, strength, femininity, and how not to lose oneself in the daily rush. And this is just a part of my game toolkit.
– How does art therapy help in your consulting practice?
– Art speaks to the heart — to feelings that can’t always be expressed in words. Through drawing, color, and imagery, clients can express what they’ve carried inside for a long time. I use art practices as a resource, a way to touch one’s authentic self. They integrate naturally with metaphorical cards and often unlock answers where there once seemed to be a dead end.
– What supports you in your role as a coach and consultant?
– People support me. Their eyes after the games, their feedback, the changes in their lives — that’s the best fuel. Also, my daughter AnnaMaria — her depth, strength, love for books, and bright soul inspire me every day. And, of course, I’m supported by my belief that every person has the power to change within them. Sometimes they just need a little help to see it.
– How do you envision your future development and professional growth?
– I see growth in depth. I want to create even more original courses, games, and programs that help women reconnect with themselves, their inner resources, and their sense of dignity. I plan to expand my online presence to make knowledge accessible to those who are far away but searching. For me, this is not just a profession, it’s a path I walk together with others — toward my true self.

Olena PAVLOVA, an ob-gyn, PhD in Medicine, founder and medical director of the multi-profile medical centre «Philosophia Salutis» (Philosophy of Health)
OLENA PAVLOVA: «GAINING FOREIGN EXPERIENCE IS A GOOD OPTION, BUT ONLY AS A SOURCE FOR HIGH-QUALITY MEDICINE DEVELOPMENT IN OUR COUNTRY FOR OURSELVES»
— What inspired you to create the clinic?
— The idea appeared a long time ago, and lively discussions led us to the option that we are implementing now: a medical space where a person can receive a comprehensive solution to problems thanks to modern diagnostics and a team of specialists for whom the concept of evidence-based medicine is not an empty phrase. The multidisciplinary nature of the institution was laid down at the design stage, because a comprehensive approach is the basis of the school of professor Skrypchenko.
Why «Philosophy of Health»?
— Because we are not only about classical medicine: identifying the problem and eliminating it. We are about a person as a whole: beautiful, complex, worthy of respect. We are about a culture of health, the importance of prevention. Our leading specialists not only consult, but also participate in the creation of educational initiatives (for example, in the project of audio lessons on sexual education).
The atmosphere and design of the clinic are thought out in such a way as to avoid the effect of a “hospital”, because for most people a visit to a doctor is stressful.
Our philosophy is empathy, high-quality care and a modern approach to every aspect of health.
Have today’s challenges affected business?
— Yes, the launch had to be postponed. Many of the specialists we planned to start with left abroad, so we had to recruit a new team and literally “live” at work. It was a difficult but extremely valuable experience, as it helped us rethink the portrait and needs of the modern patient.
— What services do you provide?
— Here you can get the following services: • operative phlebology;
• cardiology: Holter monitoring up to 3 days, bicycle ergometry;
• ultrasound diagnostics (exclusively on expertclass devices);
• digital dentistry – accurate, comfortable and effective;
— What other areas are represented in your clinic?
— Neurology, psychotherapy, psychiatry, pediatrics, otolaryngology, dietetics, proctology, etc. We also provide online consultations for patients from all over the world.
— Scaling: will you open branches in Ukraine or are you planning to expand abroad?
— Today, having a business in Ukraine is already ambitious. Therefore, first of all, we plan to expand across the country. I have never considered the option of leaving or moving the business abroad.
Gaining new knowledge, adopting progressive experience is important. But my task is to build high-quality medicine in Ukraine for our people. Branches abroad? Perhaps. But for me, as a gynaecologist, it is important that women have full access to the necessary medical care and can freely dispose of their bodies. Therefore, building a clinic in a country where this is prohibited is unacceptable to me.
— The future of «Philosophia Salutis»: how do you see it?
— I see it strong, thriving, and filled with even greater opportunities – especially in the context of providing quality medical care and rehabilitation to our defenders.

lesia Kliushnyk is a landscape designer at Eva. She will share her tips on how to take care of the garden so that it will delight its owners for a long time.
OLESIA KLIUSHNYK: «OUR POWER IS IN BALANCE AND DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF EACH PLANT»
– What is your approach to landscape design?
– For me, a garden is not just a set of plants, but a living story that changes over the years. I have been in landscape design for over 20 years, and at the same time I own a large nursery garden on 150 hectares. This allows me to see a plant not only at the moment of planting, but also in its development: how it grows, changes, and what it may conflict with. We create gardens that only get more beautiful over the years.
– What mistakes are most commonly made?
– Large trees are often planted too close to the house - they deplete the soil and can affect the foundation. Allergies are often not taken into account: many people like lavender, but sometimes it causes reactions. Some people dream of a sea of flowers and end up with chaos and overloaded space. Our power is in balance and deep knowledge of each plant.
– Is it possible to create a beautiful garden with only coniferous or deciduous species?
– It is possible, but we are always in favour of dynamics: flowers in spring, rich greenery in summer, fiery leaves in autumn, and expressive shapes in winter. It’s a real garden - alive, emotional, changeable. We are able to work with evergreen projects, but most often we combine coniferous and deciduous trees for beauty all year round.
– How to ensure long-term care?
– The main thing is the right planting. We take into account the lighting, soil type, and humidity level. We always recommend installing automatic irrigation, and at the initial stage, pay more attention: use rooting agents, carry out preventive maintenance, and regularly inspect the plants. After planting, we accompany the garden for a year, and then - if necessary. We are always there for you.
– What is a “garden with character”?
– It is a reflection of the owner’s personality. Someone dreams of clean lines and minimalism, someone dreams of a romantic space, and someone dreams of a garden inspired by travel. Our task is to feel this energy and create a space where people will feel truly happy.
– What is your company’s distinctive feature?
– We don’t just design - we grow. We have our own nursery with exclusive plants: from small bushes to 30-year-old trees. We independently adapt varieties to the Ukrainian climate, work with rare species, and bring niwaki from Japan. Our goal is to create gardens that inspire, live and flourish for decades.
The original statement “Inclusion is not about exceptions, it is about the norm,” which was made in an interview with Yuliia YERIOMENKO, co-founder of the inclusive edition “Kangaroo,” is profound and multifaceted. It reveals the essence of true inclusion, which does not consist in creating special conditions for certain categories of people, but in forming a society where the needs of everyone are taken into account without exception.
– Mrs. Yuliia, nice to meet you! We would like to tell our reders as much as possible about your activities. Let’s start with the main thing.
– Greetings! I am the editorin-chief of the inclusive brand Kangaroo, which operates as part of the “Ranok” publishing house. My main inspiration is my son Maksym, who has autism spectrum disorder. He was the impetus for my deep immersion in the topic of inclusion. I started creating my own materials for his development: notebooks, games, cards. When I realised that there were a lot of parents like me, I founded the Kangaroo brand in 2017.
YULIA YERIOMENKO: «INCLUSION
IS THE NORM, NOT THE EXCEPTION»
– What is the main goal of your team?
– Our mission is to make learning accessible to every child. We create adapted materials for children with special educational needs, as well as for those who simply need an alternative approach to learning. The name “Kangaroo” symbolises care: we want to support a child as long as necessary –until they are stronger.
– Which projects of the past year were most memorable?
– 2024 was a very busy year. We launched the Kangaroo School series –adapted books, worksheets, maths exercises and cards for children with SEN. We also created publications on mine safety, environmental responsibility, and Ukraine. By the way, some of these projects were supported by the Ukrainian Book Institute.
– Thank you, Yuliia! Who do you want to involve in your initiatives today?
– We are open to cooperation with NGOs, foundations, teachers and methodologists. Our goal is not only to publish books, but also to transform the educational environment.
In 2025, we plan to fulfil our long-held dream of publishing our first books in Braille and launching a series of methodological literature in cooperation with the Italian publishing house Erickson. We are convinced that an inclusive society begins with inclusive literature. We work to ensure that every child has equal access to knowledge, support and attention.

LILIIA POTONIA:
«WE SHARED EVERYTHING WE HAD. AND YOU KNOW, I FELT THEN: WE ARE NOT JUST A HOTEL. WE ARE PART OF A LARGE SYSTEM OF MUTUAL SUPPORT»
Liliia POTONIA, the owner of the hotel, talks about the start of her business, the challenges she had to overcome, and how to develop a business in times of war.
— Mrs. Liliia, please tell our readers more about your hotel. For many, this will be the first time they meet you.
— Alice Place is located in the historic centre of Odesa. From the very beginning, we created it as a space where people will feel not just like guests, but welcome friends.
We have a cosy atmosphere; all rooms are individually decorated, each with its own peculiarity. We pay a lot of attention to details – from the aromas in the corridors to the music in the lobby.
The biggest compliment we hear: “You have a calm atmosphere”. It means that we are doing everything right. We are not a large chain, and that is why we are able to be closer to each guest – to know them by face, to remember their preferences.
I am also very proud of our team. These are people who put their souls into their work every day. Throughout all the trials, they
have been the mainstay thanks to which we continue to work.
— Ukraine is currently facing a full-scale war. How has it affected the hotel business in general and Alice Place in particular? What changes did you have to implement?
— War... It’s not about business anymore. It is about survival - physical, emotional, and moral. In the first weeks, we completely
stopped accepting tourists and became a refuge for people from Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson.
Several families could live in one room. We shared everything we had. And then I realised that we are not just a hotel. We are part of a large mutual support system.
Later, when the situation in the city stabilised somewhat, we started to receive guests from other regions refuge – mostly those who were looking for long-term accommodation or came on business.
We adapted our booking approaches, became more flexible in pricing, and learnt to respond quickly to new circumstances.
We paid special attention to safety: we arranged shelters, developed an algorithm of actions in case of alarm, and provided backup power sources. The safety of our guests is our priority.
— What plans do you have for this year? Are you preparing any updates?
— Yes, we have plans, and they inspire us to move forward. This year we are launching several changes. First of all, this is the renovation of the room stock. We have already updated the furniture in some rooms, purchased new appliances, and are modernising bathrooms. We are also introducing a new energy saving system, which is important from both an economic and environmental point of view.
Another dream that has already come true is to open our own restaurant in Warsaw. It will be not just a restaurant, but a place for warm meetings, morning conversations, and new acquaintances. We want to give people the opportunity to feel the Ukrainian atmosphere and taste of our cuisine in the heart of Poland. We plan to open in May 2025.
The Alice Place team strives to ensure that our hotel remains not only a roof over our heads, but also a space of support, warmth and peace – even in the darkest times.

A participant in PM 2021 AWARD, Healed PMU 2021, IBV 2021 (Top 10 according to IBV among 27 countries), and a speaker at the PMU Inspiration Face Congress. She is the winner of the Glossy Face Championship and the author of the courses “PRObrows” and “Microblading”.
ALINA HRABOVSKA: «HIGH-QUALITY AFTERCARE IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF
A PROFESSIONAL APPROACH IN A MASTER’S WORK»
– What types of permanent makeup procedures do you perform, and what materials do you use?
I am proficient in all permanent makeup techniques: powder brows, microblading, and machine hairstroke methods. I work on all facial zones — eyebrows, lips, and eyelids. I constantly enhance my skills through master classes and practice on latex regularly. I use only certified pigments, equipment, and products that are approved for use in Ukraine or the EU.
– How do you assess a client’s needs and determine the best technique?
In the field of permanent makeup and cosmetology, the success of any procedure heavily depends on an accurate diagnosis of the client’s needs and a carefully selected technique that matches their physiological, aesthetic, and psychological characteristics.
My step-by-step approach includes:
Initial consultation – a key stage. I always conduct a personal or online consultation before the procedure.
Medical history – checking for allergies, chronic illnesses, and medications.
Client expectations – understanding what the client wants to enhance, their preferences for color, shape, and intensity.
Procedure history – analyzing past treatments, if any.
– How do you ensure safety during permanent makeup and cosmetic procedures?
In my practice, safety must be of the highest standard — it’s the default setting. Sterility during permanent makeup and cosmetic treatments is crucial to prevent infections and ensure client safety.
I follow strict protocols: use of sterile instruments disinfection of the workspace proper skin preparation use of disposable materials correct waste disposal maintaining a sterilization and hygiene control log.
– How do you monitor procedure results and provide aftercare instructions?
Monitoring results and providing thorough aftercare is an essential part of the professional responsibility of a permanent makeup artist or cosmetologist. It enhances client satisfaction, reduces the risk of complications, and ensures the longevity of results.
I document each client’s results through photography and maintain detailed client records. When booking an appointment, I send a message outlining all aftercare instructions and restrictions. After the procedure, I personally explain the aftercare routine and provide a printed guide. I stay in touch with each client, checking in within the appropriate timeframe to ask about their well-being and healing process.
