New Zealand Cup and Show Week is one of the busiest weeks of the year in Canterbury and Christchurch Casino is proud to sponsor all three racing cups. It has sponsored the Christchurch Casino NZ Trotting Cup at Addington Raceway and Christchurch Casino NZ Cup (gallops) at Riccarton Park for many years and, for the second consecutive year, it will sponsor the Christchurch Casino NZ Greyhound Cup, also at Addington Raceway.

There are fantastic choices for dinner too with a half-metre long pizza, sliders, sticky sweet ribs or chicken nibbles at Monza Sports Bar, while Chi Kitchen specialises in food from the Canton region with all your favorite traditional Chinese dishes. The Grand Café provides reasonably priced dining (mains from $16) in a bright and light setting, as well as decadent desserts and an extensive wine list. If it is a late night snack, cocktail/ mocktail or live music you are after, then the Valley Bar is the place for you. As one of Christchurch's premier entertainment destinations, Christchurch Casino will have live entertainment from Tuesday to Sunday every night of NZ Cup and Show Week, as well as best dressed competitions and free-to-enter draws and promotions throughout the week.
