Lotus is back. The iconic sports car brand returns to New Zealand as part of the Giltrap Group under the name of Lotus Auckland.
otus Auckland will be involved in selling new Lotus models and supply parts and servicing for all Lotus models from the past and present. “We are thrilled to represent Lotus in New Zealand. It’s a brand with strong motor racing and sports car heritage that has an exciting future ahead with highperformance pure electric vehicles,” says Michael Giltrap, Joint Managing Director of Giltrap Group. On sale at first will be the final editions of the iconic Lotus Elise and Lotus Exige. Following these will be the much-anticipated Emira in 2022, before Lotus goes full electric in years to come. “New Zealand is a key market for us as we continue the transformation of the Lotus business and brand. It has a proud history in the automotive world and a genuine passion for motorsport, making it the perfect partner for Lotus Cars,” says Lotus Cars Executive Director of Sales and After Sales Geoff Dowding. Fans can view the current Lotus range at the Lotus Auckland Showroom at 172 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, once completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
