Medline joins long-term care sector at Congressional Briefing
Medline joined the American Health Care Association/ National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) and 500+ long-term care providers at the annual Congressional Briefing to advocate for solutions to critical issues impacting care organizations. This year’s legislative meetings focused on the financial future of the long-term care industry. With a majority of the country’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities struggling financially due to inflation and the rising costs to run their facilities, Medline team members discussed viable resources to help increase access to care in communities.

Medline steps in to help flood devastation
Medline has sent 350 cases of medical supplies to Eastern Kentucky to help treat and care for residents from the nine counties impacted by recent catastrophic floods. The supplies included medical triage boxes, bandages, personal protective equipment (PPE), gloves, hand sanitizer and other infection prevention products. All were transported from Medline distribution centers in Jeffersonville, Indiana and throughout the U.S. to SOS International, a Louisvillebased nonprofit organization coordinating assistance in the area.
