Forbes Best Employers for New Grads
Medline has been named among Forbes 2022 “America’s Best Employers for New Grads,” ranking 80th of 300 U.S. companies, “most liked by new workforce entrants.” The list was compiled based on survey results of 20,000 Americans with fewer than 10 years professional experience, working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.
“The list offers a glimpse of what newly minted graduates are prioritizing amid what’s been a historically hot job market,” according to Forbes. Respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement, effectiveness of diversity and inclusion efforts, and company image. The final list ranks the 300 employers that received the most recommendations.
Forbes Best Employers in Illinois
Medline earned the 32nd spot among 100 selected Illinois employers in the fourth annual Forbes list of America’s Best Employers by State. Employers in 50 states and the District of Columbia are ranked by surveying 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees. The anonymous ratings are then compiled to rank up to 101 employers in each state, depending on the size of its workforce.
Employers making the list universally value fair pay, safe working conditions and an inclusive work culture. This year the survey questions also addressed remote work benefits, the wage gap for women, and initiatives around diversity, equity and inclusion.
