VCE
Results Class of 2024
Message from our Principal & Rector
We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our VCE students, whose dedication and resilience throughout 2024 have been truly inspiring. Your efforts are reflected in the outstanding results across VCE, VET, and Vocational Major studies, and these accomplishments mark an important milestone in your journey.
This year, 54 students achieved an ATAR of 90+, representing 32% of ATAR recipients, and 100% of our students successfully completed VCE Vocational Major studies. Notably, the cohort achieved a median Study Score of 33, the first time this has been reached since 2013, and the 13.5% of scores over 40 is the best result since 2012. These results highlight the collective efforts of our dedicated students, the unwavering guidance of our staff, and the steadfast support of parents and families. Careers, Counselling, and Pastoral Care teams have worked tirelessly to ensure pathways for all students, including tertiary placements, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. The success of our VCE Vocational Major and VET subjects further demonstrates the value of practical, industry-focused pathways within our academic program.
At Mazenod, education is more than academic achievement—it is about forming wellrounded individuals who are ready to contribute meaningfully to society. The essence of a Mazenod education is to “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve,” preparing students to make the world a better place through justice, compassion, and service.
As you move forward, remember that your education is a gift to be shared. Use the knowledge, values, and skills you’ve gained to embrace the opportunities ahead and act on your ideals.
We thank our students for their determination, our staff for their unwavering support, and families for walking alongside their sons throughout this journey. We offer this prayer to guide you:
Loving God, as I begin this time of post exams, I feel some anxiety. Help me to stay focused. Give me a clear mind to make the right decisions for my future. Be with me and sustain me, gentle God, during these days. Help me to be satisfied with the work I have done, the results I have achieved, but also help me to see the wonderful opportunities that now present themselves. I pray in thanks for all those who have guided me and helped to arrive at this point in my journey.
St Eugene de Mazenod Pray for us.
