JOB DESCRIPTION We are in search of an adept Estimator to supervise and coordinate construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will be accountable for guaranteeing that all projects are finalized within the designated timeframe, adhering to the allocated budget, and upholding superior quality standards. Serving as the primary liaison for all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, the Estimator will ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. The perfect fit for this role would possess a comprehensive grasp of construction methodologies, exceptional leadership and communication abilities, and a proven history of successfully delivering intricate projects.

Job Title: Commercial Construction Estimator Company: Southern Design Concrete Location: Canton, GA Southern Design Concrete, a frontrunner in Hardscape, Concrete, & Landscapes residential building, is actively looking for an Estimator to oversee our operations. The ideal candidate will take charge of offering strategic insights, optimizing operational efficiency, cultivating business growth, and promoting a collaborative team environment. We are especially interested in local candidates who possess a profound understanding of the Hardscape, Concrete, & Landscapes residential construction market.

Key Responsibilities: Create accurate comprehensive cost estimates for landscaping, irrigation, concrete foundations and flatwork, and hardscapes for a wide variety of construction projects.

Read and accurately interpret plans and drawings, scope of works, and job specification documents.

Assess potential sites for suitability, topography, and associated costs.

Verify that vendor and subcontractor estimates include the defined scopes of work and specifications.

Analyze data and produce forecasts

Track and prepare bids for timely submission to the appropriate parties.

Perform risk analysis and assure compliance with insurance requirements.

Foster relationships with key vendors.

Maintain client confidentiality.

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, but not required.

Proven experience as an estimator in construction industry preferred.

Proficiency with cost estimating software.

Familiarity with construction practices, costs, and procedures.

Experience with reading building and site plans.

Experience with vendor management, procurement, and construction management.

Desired Qualifications Analytical; very comfortable with numbers.

Meticulous attentiveness to detail.

Excellent communication skills.

Well-organized.

Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) a plus.
