Operations Manager Opportunity Overview:
Oxbow Pool and Landscape Contractors, a leader in the high-end residential and commercial landscape and swimming pool construction industry, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their senior leadership team.
With projects ranging from $300K to $6M and up, this role offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day operations while driving long-term growth for a company that consistently grows at 20% per year.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a deep understanding of project management, budget setting, and compliance, while also being hands-on with field operations. This is a pivotal role for the company’s continued success.
As an Operations Manager, you will work directly with the President, Chuck Haeuser, as his right-hand leader, helping to manage multiple teams, oversee project execution, and act as a key player in maintaining and growing the company’s reputation for delivering top-tier landscaping projects.
You will play a central role in shaping both the field and office operations, with high-level responsibility for ensuring successful project completion, team leadership, and problem resolution in high-stakes situations.

$165,000 - $215,000 + Performance-Based Bonuses
Job Requirements:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the company and act as the right-hand to the President, overseeing project teams, budgets, and aligning operations with the company’s vision for growth.
Lead and manage the Project Management team, ensuring efficient execution and highquality delivery of all projects, both residential and commercial.
Be on-site as needed to handle complex challenges, whether it's resolving issues with estate managers, navigating inspections, or addressing budget concerns.
Mentor junior project managers and foster internal team growth through professional development and leadership.
Interact with high-net-worth clients and estate managers, handling delicate conversations about project scope, feasibility, and budget adjustments with professionalism.
Work closely with key leadership members, including the Head of Project Management, Head of Business Development, and Head of Pools, to align strategic goals and ensure smooth communication across teams.
Be hands-on with landscape construction projects, comfortable with day-to-day field operations and decision-making in a fastpaced environment.
Report directly to the President, providing regular updates on project performance, budget management, and team growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in operations management, specifically in residential and commercial landscape construction.
Proven track record of managing high-end residential projects, especially for high-networth clients.
Demonstrated experience in leading project teams, handling conflict resolution on-site, and managing team dynamics in a high-pressure environment.
Strong ability to mentor and guide junior project managers, promoting professional growth.
Extensive experience in setting and managing budgets for large-scale construction projects, with the ability to have complex budget-related conversations.
Skilled in client-facing roles, particularly when dealing with estate managers and resolving conflicts related to project feasibility and costs.
Excellent communication skills for handling sensitive and high-stakes interactions.
In-depth understanding of landscape construction challenges, with the ability to make fast, effective decisions on the ground.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and inspections in construction environments.
