Overview of Midsouth Mechanical
Charles Arrington's passion for baseball led him to pursue teaching, but he found work at Milliken & Co. due to a lack of teaching jobs. He later founded Midsouth Mechanical, Inc. in 1989, which quickly grew from 5 to over 100 employees, driven by the booming textile industry. By 1999, Midsouth became one of Georgia's largest mechanical contractors, generating over $20 million in revenue.
The 2000s brought challenges with the economic recession and the decline of the textile industry. Midsouth shifted to the automotive sector, taking on significant projects like the Honda Utilities and Kia Plant. Despite setbacks, Midsouth survived by reducing its workforce and shifting leadership to Charles's sons, Greg and David, in 2013. They rebranded the company, expanding into aerospace and food and beverage industries.
Today, Midsouth Mechanical employs over 100 skilled craftsmen, upholding Charles Arrington's legacy of creativity, exceptional service, integrity, and ethical business practices.
