WELCOME TO THE BUDDY CLUB

This program is designed to meet the needs of individuals with developmental/cognitive disabilities. Join us for arts, crafts, fitness, movies, computers & video games. Access our Wellness Center, enjoy our pool or take a walk in the park! We meet every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-2:30pm.

Only $2 Drop in fee required or just $20 per month.

BUDDY NEWS It was YUMMY! - A great big Buddy thank you to Tracey and her mom Tina for a wonderful October birthday party.

Tuesday with Todd - Plans are in the works to have an art class on Tuesdays. More details to follow. (Tentative) That's So Cool or Should We Say "That's SO WARM!" Thanks to Randi's Aunt Charlotte the Buddies received two colorful afghans. They have proven to be most helpful keeping us nice and toastie on these cool October days. Thanks Aunt Charlotte!

Who Let the Dogs Out? WOOF! WOOF! WOOF! - Thanks to Captain Mario Lugo and the Manassas Park K-9 unit's the Buddies got to view first hand how the K-9 units search for drugs, retrieve a lost item (or could be a person) and take down a criminal. The guy wearing the take down gear looked like the Michelin Tire Man!

Take One Drama The recent Variety Show was a huge success with several of the Buddies enjoying their night on Broadway". Michela and Sharon were beautiful brides singing �Chapel of Love" and Michela put some punch in the show as she performed "Hit Me with Your Best Shot". Sharon said it all when she did a familiar Lucy skit...can anyone say "Vitameatavegamin"? Not to be outdone ELVIS, oops I mean, John rocked the house with his rendition of "Jail House Rock". The Buddies would like to say "Thank you, thank you very much" for a fun evening.

BUDDY PICS!

BUDDY OF THE MONTH Dana Spencer lives with her roommate Debbie in Stonyridge in Dale City. She enjoys living independently and having her own apartment. She appreciates her counselors that take her shopping and out and about. She really loves old cars and can often be seen on Fridays at the car show in Woodbridge. She works at the Red Lobster rolling silverware in napkins for her customers. She loves her job and is proud of her thirteen, soon to be fourteen years, of service to Red Lobster.

Not only is she a great Buddy Club member she is also involved in Lion's Club and Arc Bowling. She attends the Arc Dances and is looking forward to the upcoming Halloween Party and is undecided as to what costume she is going to wear. Spending time with friends, Yoga, swimming and helping with birthday parties are a few of her other interests.

On weekends she can often be found with her parents in Manassas. They are planning a family vacation to Florida in February and will be enjoying the nice warm temps by the water while we will be here freezing. BRRRR! She loves pizza and her favorite color is red. She just got a new pet fish and named him Bengi.
