Mandatory Masks extended for extra week!
The Queensland Premier, Ms Annastacia Palaszczuk has declared that masks will continue to be mandatory in parts of the southeast, that includes the Sunshine Coast Council area for another seven days.
One of those found with the virus is a 12-year-old boy who had come from hotel quarantine in Sydney on July 9th and was in the community until July 13th when he felt unwell. The boy had travelled with his mother to the United States for three months before returning to Sydney on June 21.
The announcement comes as ve new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Queensland over the past 24 hours and the state faces two potentially new outbreaks.
Another positive test was a female airport worker, who lives in Tarragind on the south side
suburb of Brisbane. This person had been working at the Brisbane airport while infectious for three days. Queenslanders should reconsider any need to travel to NSW or Victoria as the virus continues to spread uncontrolled throughout those states. In our area the Kenilworth Bakery has been declared as a site visited recently by an infected person.
