Maleny Dairies truck involved in fatal accident One of the semi trailer trucks from Maleny Dairies was involved in a fatal road accident at the intersection of Roys Road and Dianella Road, Beerwah about 3.50pm Monday, November 29.
Accident at Booroobin In another local accident at about 9a.m. on Friday December 3rd a woman was injured when her vehicle was involved in a single vehicle accident on Stanley River Road, Booroobin when she collided with an embankment. The female driver was initially trapped in the vehicle. The Life ight helicopter attended the scene. The female suffered shoulder and back injuries and was conveyed to hospital in a stable condition The Queensland Police Service (QPS) and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) are urging motorists to drive to conditions as Queensland prepares for a wet 2021-2022 Queensland disaster season. A police spokesperson said, “As we now enter Queensland’s disaster season, police want all motorists to consider what they need to do in order to make it home safe in wet weather.” Since the start of 2021, a total of 261 people have lost their lives on Queenland roads, 14 more than the same time last year. Remember if the road is ooded - “don’t risk it”.
