South East Queensland is in line for unseasonable wet weather this weekend The Bureau of Meteorology is temperatures for the rest of predicting that coastal Queensland, including South East Queensland is in line to receive an unseasonable wet period starting on Saturday August 1st and continuing into the following week.
The rain will come from a rain band that has been generated by an upper trough in Central Australia and is expected to move over Queensland starting Saturday and then joined by a second rain band which is expected to develop over the south east on Monday. These two systems are expected to create heavy localised falls.

The chance of becoming a victim of rising oodwaters is just not worth the risk. It is possible to check for road closures via the Sunshine Coast Council Disaster site.
