Maleny’s Roundabout Gets a Facelift As you drive in and out of Maleny, you’ll have noticed that our roundabout at the Riverside Centre has had quite a makeover. The spectacular ame tree that welcomes everyone to the main street of Maleny is now complemented and encircled by some very colourful plantings that will come into their own in the upcoming summer weather. The mulching has now been completed, the project is the result of a partnership between volunteers from the Maleny Street Gardeners’ Alliance working together with Councillor Winston Johnston, local Ian Russell and Council’s Parks and Gardens team.

This is just one of the projects aiming to beautify the Maleny area. Councillor Johnston is delighted with the outcome, saying "What a fantastic job all involved have done, its a wonderful entry statement for Maleny and I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and commitment in making this happen”. And there is more to come - with the Street Gardeners’ Alliance members planning on delivering further beauti cation projects for the town. All are welcome to join and if you are interested, or for more info. please contact Winston by email at:
