Maleny District Sport & Recreation Club Community Newsletter Beersheba Living Museum Open this Saturday The Beersheba Living Museum is open this Saturday. This heritage museum is a venue with a difference and is open to the public in Maleny again this Saturday 25th June from 9.30. am until 2.00 pm. The Beersheba Living Museum is the home, training ground and museum of the iconic 5th Light Horse Troop, Maleny Regiment. You will have the opportunity to meet the troopers, and they welcome the chance to show you around their growing museum collection.
in two historical venues, Beersheba Museum and Pattemore House, both of which are open on the last Saturday of each month. The Beersheba Living Museum, including The 5th Light Horse Regiment, Maleny Troop Inc was formed in January 1992. The Museum houses memorabilia and information boards associated with WWI and the 5 th Light Horse Regiment. Some of the equipment used by the troop is original WWI vintage, while other pieces are replicas.
They are situated on the Maleny Community Precinct, at the bottom of Parklands Drive, on Maleny Sports Park and have plenty of parking. So why not take some time out to explore the beautiful Maleny Precinct this Saturday?
The museum has accepted and displays donated items from family collections, along with researching and highlighting individuals that came from the local area.
