On the Move with the Maleny Visitor Information Centre The team of volunteers from the MVIC had a great morning out on the Maleny Community Precinct last week. The volunteers, resplendent in their green shirts, were noticeable as they took note of available delights for visitors on the Precinct.

This was followed by a précis of what the Maleny District Sport and Rec Club offers in their Clubhouse (that houses the Museum) for their 60 member clubs and others, and what they plan to achieve on their leased area. This included an update on Maleny Settlers Green, the new park being constructed on the MDSRC leased land as an initiative of a combined community service club partnership. Nearing completion, a children’s play area is next to be built in stages, the well-tended park (that includes a Heritage Camellia Grove) looking a picture after all the recent rain.
