Sensitive Skin: Some people have naturally sensitive skin, sunscreen can often cause breakouts or allergic reactions It is important to find a brand that contains ingredients that will keep you protected from harmful UV rays while also keeping your skin safe
Baby Safe: Baby’s also have more sensitive skin at such a young age keeping their skin protected with a higher SPF is the safest bet Find a baby-safe brand as well
SPF Shirts: If someone in your family hates the smell or feel of sunscreen, consider SPF clothing. These clothes also block harmful UV rays.
MAIN STREET KITCHEN & BAR
CREAMY LEMON PASTA
INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoon butter, cut into 8 pieces
Zest and juice from 2 large lemons, plus more for serving
1 pound fresh or dried spaghetti, linguine, or bucatini
8 tablespoon heavy cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra cheese to serve on the side
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Fresh herbs like mint, basil, and chives, leaves left whole, and red pepper flakes for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil.
2. Drop the spaghetti into the boiling water. Cook pasta according to package directions.
3 Meanwhile, warm the cream in a skillet over medium, and add the lemon zest Add the butter to the cream mixture.
4. As soon as the pasta is cooked, lift the pasta out of the water with tongs, and add to the sauce. You want just a little of the pasta water to come with it Add the lemon juice, then cook for one minute, stirring vigorously and adding pasta water to the sauce if needed to loosen it up.
5. Add salt and pepper, then add the parmesan a little at a time while tossing.
6 Top with basil and red pepper flakes, plus more grated parmesan and lemon zest
JULY COCKTAIL
INGREDIENTS
1 ounce watermelon schnapps
1 big splash cranberry juice
1 very thin slice jalapeno or serrano pepper
1 slice lemon
1 slice lime
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/4 ounce blue curacao
1/2 ounce simple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mix the schnapps and cranberry juice in a shaker; pour into an icefilled glass.
2. Muddle the jalapeno pepper, lemon and lime slices, tequila, blue curacao and simple syrup in the shaker. Slowly strain into the glass over the red layer. Garnish with watermelon, if desired.
