Bamboo COLLECTION

A TRIBUTE TO ASIA

240 years ago, Chaumet embraced Empress Josephine’s passion for botany, establishing itself as a pioneer of Naturalist Jewellery. This artistic direction was a deliberate choice by the Maison’s founder, Marie-Étienne Nitot, and has since become a defining hallmark of Chaumet’s heritage

Throughout its history, this distinctive imprint has been evident in various projects and pieces, even in necklaces and pendants inspired by stems, leaves, and flowers.

This year, the BAMBOO High Jewellery capsule collection once again highlights the Maison’s historic ties to nature, a tradition upheld for decades by the thirteen master artisans of its workshop.

The tribute to Asia is brought to life through an homage to its culture, capturing the majesty of bamboo—a plant rarely depicted in jewellery. However, as early as the mid-19th century, two sketches featured a graphic ensemble of ten pieces symbolising its deeper meaning: integrity, determination, and modesty in China, and prosperity in Japan.

One technique that the Maison masters exquisitely is articulation, giving the pieces remarkable flexibility. Likewise, the combination of brilliant bead settings and openwork designs showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans at No. 12 Vendôme.

The brand honors its Mediterranean roots with this delightful collection for the Spring/ Summer season. Its proposals for day, afternoon, or night combine tradition and modernity in designs that captivate, always with the impeccable quality of Mascaró.

Schiaparelli

FUTURE VINTAGE

Spring Summer 2025 Collection.

The designer Daniel Roseberry explains to us how the Schiaparelli Prêt-à-Porter collection for Spring/Summer 2025 is.

Daniel Roseberry nos muestra la ColecciónPrêt-à-Porter 2025 P/V de Schiaparelli.

The designer Daniel Roseberry reflects on the collection: “At Schiaparelli, our Prêt-à-Porter collection is intentionally minimal. But it’s an incredible moment to be small because it allows you to design with a real purpose, and for us, purpose always trumps the trivial. The world may seem more chaotic than ever, but here, the atmosphere is one of celebration: both of what fashion can be and of what fashion can make you feel. At the beginning of this collection, we decided that we were going to make clothes not only for our clients but for their daughters and granddaughters. We called it Future Vintage.”

“En Schiaparelli, nuestra colección Prêt-à-porter es intencionadamente reducida. Al principio de esta colección, decidimos que íbamos a hacer ropa no sólo para nuestros clientes, sino para sus hijas y nietas. Future Vintage, la llamo”

Roseberry was born in Texas into a very religious family, but life had a twist of fate in store for him. While on a mission in the Middle East, he decided to move to New York to study design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

From there, he went on to work at the Thom Browne firm, and in 2019, the revived Schiaparelli hired him as Creative Director. In 2024, he received the Neiman Marcus Award for his creative impact in the field of fashion.

In this collection, Roseberry has once again created an essential, timeless wardrobe for women. But at the same time, he experiments with this season’s inspirations: bright and bold colors, animal prints, lightweight fabrics, and simple, airy shapes.

“There are knit pieces and down jackets in pearlescent tones. And the best part is that there are male wardrobe archetypes with a twist: the tank top, the tennis polo, and the white piqué buttoned pants, all inset with invisible elastic corsets, which subvert each archetype and glorify the female form.”

And we must not forget the bags, with the classic “Secret” featuring its padlock closure, and the shoes, with the first flat sandal.

“Hay piques de punto y plumíferos en tonos nacarados. Y lo mejor de todo es que hay arquetipos de ropa masculina con truco…”

BAOBAB SPRING SUMMER

Côte d’Azur Limited Edition

Baobab’s candle and accessory collection for this Spring/Summer is not limited to a single edition. However, one that stands out, especially because it is limited, is the hand-screen-printed Côte d’Azur.

Thierry Larcher is the artist behind the illustration that decorates each candle. He drew inspiration from the golden era. While the French Riviera was discovered by international aristocracy in the 19th century, it was in the early 20th century when the most refined clientele began spending the winter season by its beaches. Cannes, Cassis, Menton, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and later Saint-Tropez were filled with mansions following the new design trends. Thierry Larcher focused on Nice, the capital, and more specifically the famous Promenade des Anglais, with its classic balustrades, and the iconic silhouette of the Hotel Negresco.

The fragrance within evokes citrus notes, as it is a landscape of lemon trees similar to its neighboring Italy. There’s also a hint of sea salt and a touch of musk. Nearby is the perfume capital, Grasse, and in between, pine forests.

https://eu.baobabcollection.com/es

MADE OF MAKERS

Fragrances for Jaeger-Lecoultre

Three perfumes created by the perfumer Nicolás Bonneville

The Made of Makers program by Jaeger-LeCoultre aims to establish a parallel between the world of watchmaking and art. So far, it has covered very different fields such as Contemporary Art, Gastronomy, and Music, with artists from Europe, America, and Asia. This time, one of the most talented perfumers of his generation has been chosen. Nicolas Bonneville fell in love with perfume when, at the age of twelve, his parents took him to Grasse during a vacation. When he returned home, he started mixing fragrances and learning the art of perfume making under the guidance of two very important mentors: Jacques Maurel and Francis Kurkdjian.

In his approach to perfumery, Nicolas Bonneville combines several elements, which he summarizes in these phrases: “Just like in painting, the essence lies in the purity of the mixtures. Similarly, when creating perfumes, it is crucial to carefully dose the raw materials to preserve their unique olfactory character without over-diluting them. The principle of ‘less is more’ ensures that the fragrance retains its clarity and depth: a unique aroma with true character and distinction is achieved.”

Precision and attention to detail are the essence of both disciplines. In watchmaking, all gears, springs, or components must fit perfectly for the watch to function. In perfumery, the same principles apply: each ingredient must be calculated and adjusted with utmost care, as even the slightest difference can compromise the entire composition.

Nicolas’s creations for Jaeger-LeCoultre follow the guidelines of High Perfumery: short formulas, noble ingredients, and high concentrations.

THE WATCH: Nicolas Bonneville wears a Reverso Tribute Small Seconds: In the 1930s, Jaeger-LeCoultre became one of the few manufacturers to offer coloured dials. The first one was black with a sunburst finish, and there is also a red version. The Timeless Stories is inspired by the iconic Reverso watch. A model originally created so that a wristwatch could withstand the rigours of polo matches. Hence, the woody character reminiscent of stables and Violet Leaves, which resemble the grass of a polo field.

The Celestial Odyssey, very amber, evokes the moon, the sun, and the stars—reflecting the fascination of watchmakers.

The Precision Pioneer: Incense. The fire with which raw materials are transformed into precision parts. Cedarwood. Guaiac wood and Oud.

flash WITH ROUND NUMBERS

In addition to the 50th anniversary of Cristal Rosé, a series of other wine milestones have taken place or are about to be celebrated. This may be due to the winery, the vintage, or a special event.

At LEXQUISITE, we have selected a few for you.

CHAMPAGNE BOLLINGER GOLDFINGER 007 – 60 YEARS LATER

Made from grapes harvested in 2007, this limited edition embodies the art of Bollinger winemaking: each grape was hand-selected, fermented in wooden barrels, and aged for 17 years in the Maison’s cellars.

It is presented in a magnum format (1.5 litres) and housed in an elegant Globe-Trotter case, handcrafted in England. Each case is individually numbered from 001 to 200, making it a true collector’s item for Champagne Bollinger enthusiasts and James Bond fans alike.

Of these 200 units, only four will be available in Spain.

VIÑA ALBINA GRAN RESERVA 2005

The experience gained since its founding in 1890 has taught Bodegas Riojanas that ageing well depends on high-quality grapes and that it is only possible with vineyards capable of expressing their unique character.

The freshness and vibrant acidity typical of Viña Albina Gran Reserva 2004 and 2005 originate from vineyards in different locations, combining grapes from Cenicero and the higher-altitude areas of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. It is almost unbelievable how fresh it remains.

20 YEARS OF BARDOS

Burgos and Soria have always been the heart of Vintae’s Ribera del Duero journey, which began twenty years ago in the Páramo de Corcos, Moradillo de Roa. There, the vineyards perfectly aligned with the vision of freshness and terroir that Bodega Bardos sought to convey.

Later, CEO Richi Arambarri and technical director Raúl Acha began exploring areas further from Ribera’s epicentre, venturing into the province of Soria.

“It’s a somewhat ‘outsider’ Ribera, relatively unknown, but its tradition and expertise are evident in the kilometres of underground cellars,” explains Richi Arambarri.

25 YEARS OF BLECUA

In 1997, after eleven years of success, Viñas del Vero had already established itself with the finest vineyards in Somontano, expertise in crafting quality wines, a strong market presence, and solid credibility. At that point, they set themselves a new challenge: to create the best wine in Somontano, one that would become a benchmark in the industry. They selected their seven finest vineyards to harvest the best grapes and restored an old tower to produce Blecua, which was launched in 2000. This exceptional wine is based on four grape varieties: two traditional ones, Garnacha and Tempranillo, and two international ones, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

After a rigorous selection process, the wine is bottled without undergoing stabilisation or filtration. Its production remains highly limited.

250 YEARS OF EL GRIFO

Since 1775, El Grifo has remained in continuous operation, making it one of the ten oldest wineries in Spain. Now celebrating its 250th anniversary, the winery has chosen Malvasía Lías 2018 as the emblematic wine for this remarkable milestone.

The grape had to be Malvasía Volcánica, the dominant variety that unmistakably represents the essence of Lanzarote—not only for its unique characteristics but also for its remarkable adaptation to the island’s extreme conditions.

With its freshness, minerality, and salinity, this wine transports us to the heart of the island and its captivating landscape.

LIMITED EDITION 2009

Last year, this wine celebrated its 15th anniversary, and at that very moment, The Drinks Business declared it THE BEST RIOJA WINE. This prestigious award also recognised its creator, Bodegas Riojanas’ winemaker Emilio Sojo, as THE BEST WINEMAKER IN RIOJA. This limited edition showcases the excellence of the vineyards in Cenicero (Rioja Alta). Even after more than 16 years, this wine remains fresh and fruity, with remarkable ageing potential and longevity.

50Years of Emotion

In 1974, Jean-Claude Rouzaud created Cristal Rosé. Its origins lie in Grand Cru vineyard parcels that encapsulate the essence of a chalky, mostly tuffaceous soil. In these privileged soils, the earliest-ripening Pinot Noir and the latest-ripening Chardonnay of the Domaine reach their fullest expression.

With this initial selection of vineyards, the first step towards a new technique was taken: infusion, which would later become the signature of this champagne. “My father was born in 1928, and for seven decades, he was responsible for the vineyard of the house,” Frederic tells us.

“Today, with the 250 hectares we have, we really get the best quality from our wines. We carry out biodynamic viticulture with great care. My father had an in-depth knowledge of the vineyard and its parcels, especially the Cristal vineyard. It is surrounded by forest, protected from the wind, with a special microclimate that allows us to produce absolutely exceptional Pinot Noir. It’s a masterpiece, comparable to a great Burgundy wine, very refined and with a great reputation in France and around the world.”

Since the 19th century, Roederer has been producing rosé. “We had a classic rosé that did not belong to the Cristal line but carried the Louis Roederer tradition. Among them, there was one in particular, which we called ‘Ojo de Perdiz’ (Partridge Eye). Old labels from that era still bear this name, a testament to a century-old legacy.”

As mentioned earlier, Roederer’s rosé is distinctive due to its production method: infusion. In Champagne, there are two ways to create a rosé. The first is to mix red wine with white wine until the desired hue is achieved. But this process introduces tannins and red wine aromas, which, according to their philosophy, alter the purity of the final result.

“We chose a different path. Our infusion method begins with harvesting Pinot Noir at its peak ripeness. Then, we carry out a cold maceration, almost at zero degrees, to extract only the finest compounds: the best phenolics and delicate aromatic essences from the grape juice. From there, we blend these juices with

The story of Cristal is as fascinating as its origin. Created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, this champagne was initially a private creation for the imperial court. For years, it was produced exclusively for him until the Russian Revolution of 1917 ended that tradition. With the cessation of orders from the Tsar and Russia, Cristal began to be sold to the rest of the world in 1919.

Over the years, at LEXQUISITE, we’ve interviewed many celebrities who’ve shared anecdotes related to Cristal. We remember, for example, Mariah Carey asking for bottles to be in the fridges of her rooms at all times, or rappers who only drank it, or football players who ordered over 100 bottles for their birthdays despite not drinking alcohol. We see it as a success, but Frederic surprised us by telling us that there have been no major marketing campaigns.

“Nuestro método de infusión comienza con la cosecha de Pinot Noir en su punto óptimo de madurez. Luego, realizamos una maceración en frío, casi a cero grados, para extraer únicamente los compuestos más finos: los mejores fenólicos y las esencias aromáticas más delicadas del zumo de la uva. A partir de ahí, combinamos estos jugos con Chardonnay y llevamos a cabo una fermentación cuidadosamente controlada”.

“It has never been a marketing-driven wine; there have never been advertisements or collaborations to promote it. However, its fame grew naturally, thanks to word of mouth and, above all, its magical character. Its secret lies in its exceptional terroir. Without commercial strategies, but with a legacy of six generations dedicated to perfecting it, Cristal has become an icon. We take great pride in knowing that artists, writers, and people sensitive to art enjoy our champagne, not because we sought them out, but because they found something special in it, something that resonates with their spirit. Cristal is easy to recognize and even easier to remember. Its iconic transparent bottle and distinctive flat bottom reflect its origin, linked to Tsar Alexander II. But beyond its image, I’m convinced that Cristal’s real success lies in its magical essence.”

The story of the Maison began in 1776 in Reims, though it was initially called Dubois Pére & Fils. It wasn’t until 1833 that Louis Roederer, heir to the company, took charge and gave it its name, establishing a unique vision based on total control of production, from the vineyards to the winemaking.

In the 20th century, Camille Olry-Roederer, one of the few women to lead a major champagne house, took the reins and guided the company through the Great Depression and World War II. Under her leadership, Louis Roederer firmly established itself as a symbol of excellence and refinement. “It has always been a family business, and I’m very fortunate to be the seventh generation to continue it.

All the generations before me, like my father and grandmother, have led the house. My grandmother managed the company for 45 years, from 1932 to 1975, during one of the most difficult periods. Each generation has contributed something valuable. As the current leader of the team, I believe that being a family business gives us time, allows us to be patient, and enables us to act with freedom.

Our house was founded in 1776, the same year as the United States. Perhaps we share with them that spirit of independence, freedom, and entrepreneurship.”

Cristal’s vineyards have an average age of 40 years. The Cristal 2015 spent 8 years in the cellar before it was ready for consumption.

“Sometimes, the fruits of our labor aren’t seen in our generation, but in the next. We are passing through, working for the future. However, in the present, we live wonderful moments. Champagne is a symbol of celebration, emotion, and shared moments. It’s not just a wine, it’s a fragrance, a memory, an experience. It accompanies moments of happiness and, sometimes, sadness. And that’s why champagne is so special.”

The round trip of Antonio Matres, architect, designer, creative.

The journey of Madrid-born Antonio Matres began after his time at the School of Architecture, ETSAM, and various workshops and studios, as well as a few years as a professor. In 2014, he founded his own studio, Antonio Matres Design, and settled in New York. The Big Apple has had a significant influence on his work, especially since he managed to carve out a place among the most exclusive architects—not only in the City, as an old journalist used to call it, but also in Florida and the Bahamas.

I am more inspired by artisanal pieces or materials, regardless of style or culture.”

HISTORIQUES 222.

a watch of VACHERON CONSTANTIN that recalls the seventies

WITH AN OPEN HEART...

“To begin the celebration of 270 years of passion, and in response to the expectations of its clients, Vacheron Constantin presents the watch with which it kicks off the festivities of its anniversary: the Historiques 222, in stainless steel.”

This is how they introduce it, and we must admit that its display at the Maison boutique on Serrano Street in Madrid, at number 68, was quite an event. And a discovery. The fashion of the 70s, despite Yves Saint Laurent, had a jarring point, especially when it reached the streets. Neither bell-bottom pants, nor Bruce Lee, nor Saturday Night Fever made the cut.

But this Vacheron Constantin model, designed by Jorg Hysek in 1977, has a very elegant air. It is said in the chronicles that “it instantly set itself apart from the conventions of the sports watches of the time.

The edition now presented of the original 222 model, nicknamed “Jumbo” by collectors, benefits from several technical improvements. The bracelet joints – now fastened with a triple-fold clasp instead of a double – have been redesigned to hide previously visible pins and enhance ergonomics. The case back, which carries a signature representing Vacheron Constantin’s 270th anniversary, features a transparent sapphire crystal that reveals the Caliber 2455/2 movement. In other words, its heart is visible.

“Aún más diversión al pilotar: ese era nuestro objetivo para las nuevas BMW R 18 y R 18 Classic. Hemos refinado el estilo de diseño, añadido numerosas mejoras en términos de detalle y confort, haciendo que la R 18 sea aún más divertida de pilotar” Markus Lederer, Jefe de la Serie Bóxer

“Even more fun while riding – that was our goal for the new BMW R 18 and R 18 Classic. We have refined the design style, added numerous improvements in terms of detail and comfort, making the R 18 even more enjoyable to ride,” said Markus Lederer, Head of the Boxer Series

The revision of the BMW R 18, with its multiple versions and customisation possibilities, makes it a more contemporary motorcycle while preserving the purest lines of the cruiser segment. With newly designed mudguards, an 18-inch rear wheel (previously 16 inches), and a new seven double-spoke wheel design, the R 18 boasts an even more dynamic appearance, emphasising its authentic cruiser character.

EVOK COLLECTION Lands on Gran Vía

Evok was founded in 2014. It is part of the Pierre Bastid group, and the hotel business was developed by Emmanuel Savage. The two wanted to offer a renewed vision of luxury hotels. They initially began in Paris with two different brands: Nolinski, a wellness retreat, and Brach, a meeting place. The first hotel outside of France was Nolinski Venice in 2023, and now the second is Brach Madrid.

Like the Parisian one, the Madrid hotel is designed by Philippe Starck, who needs no introduction in Spain, as he has collaborated numerous times with national brands and is a lover of the country, having crossed its territory on a motorcycle several times. For Brach Madrid, being located on Gran Vía, Starck was inspired by the Generation of ‘27:

Evok nació en 2014, comenzando en París con sus dos marcas, Nolinski y Brach. El primer hotel fuera de Francia fue el Nolinski Venecia en 2023, y ahora el segundo es el Brach Madrid que, al igual que el de París, está diseñado por Phillippe Starck.

“For me, this restaurant embodies the image that the collective unconscious has of the great café in Madrid in the 1920s. This architecture was the starting point for imagining an elegant restaurant that has always existed, with its rich wood-paneled walls, tilted mirrors to see and be seen, a grand fresco, leather, and theatrical lighting.”

With 57 rooms, including four suites, each space is designed to tell a story, adorned with objects that whisper parts of the past. It’s like a novel. Loves, heartbreaks…

They propose that each room has a story. An adventure. For this, there’s a stage: the leather headboard of the beds, different sketches next to travel notes create a travel journal.

Amores, desamores…

At the restaurant, the hand of Chef Adam Bentalha: “The menu includes classics from Brach Paris, with a Spanish twist and references to typical local dishes. We work with local producers, using exceptional ingredients like olive oil, red tuna, Galician beef, and Bellota ham.” In summary: The Mediterranean on a plate.

Additionally, there are 400 square meters dedicated to wellness at La Capsule: a 20-meter-long swimming pool, conscious movement sessions, physical training, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, guided ice bath, infrared sauna, steam bath, flotation bath, recovery room, massages (cupping, Tui Na, Chi Nei Tsang).

“En el restaurante el menú incluye clásicos de Brach París, con un toque español y referencias a platos típicos locales, utilizando ingredientes excepcionales como aceite de oliva, atún rojo, carne gallega y jamón de Bellota.” Adam Bentalha, Chef

IN THREE MASTS Luxury

The Relais & Châteaux Association was founded 70 years ago. It comprises 580 hotels and restaurants run by independent owners, mostly families, each unique and distinctive, deeply committed to the relationships they build with their guests. In many cases, these relationships have evolved into friendships, with guests returning year after year.

However, beyond these hotels and restaurants, Relais & Châteaux offers something truly exceptional: a three-masted yacht that provides an intimate, exclusive, and unique travel experience. “Boarding Le Ponant is about experiencing true sailing and sharing the adventure of a sailor,” explains its captain, JeanDavid Lemaire. “The ship becomes one with the elements: the sea that carries us, the wind that propels us, and the sun that guides us. Le Ponant sets a soothing pace, inspires a spirit of adventure, and awakens the desire to travel. This ship has a soul.”

Last year, Le Ponant embarked on several select voyages, offering a privileged few the chance to rediscover the magic of the Cyclades and explore the Adriatic coast*-far from the tourist crowds and closer to nature. Guests immersed themselves in the charm of the islands, strolled through fishing villages, and embraced the freedom of the good life, enjoying swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking, with overnight stops in lively harbours at sunset.

In winter, Le Ponant set sail to explore the many facets of Cape Verde, allowing guests to experience the cultural diversity of the archipelago during each stop. Looking ahead to 2025, regardless of whether past itineraries are repeated, the first adventure begins in the Caribbean, with six different voyages.

Later, Le Ponant will head to New Zealand before returning to the Caribbean, exploring virtually unknown islands. These luxury adventures cannot be booked online—they require a special request via the website. Simply search for Le Ponant.
