Inspiration

Dear Team,

I am pleased to share that the past three months from April to June 2025, have been highly engaging and productive for the Lumax Group. This edition of Sagar holds special significance, as it marks the 80th edition, coinciding with a momentous year where we commemorate and celebrate eight decades of Pride, Progress, and Positivity. Our 8-decades journey is a story of passion and innovation, made possible by the unwavering commitment of our employees and the enduring trust of our esteemed customers and partners.

In the previous fiscal year, Lumax Industries achieved a revenue of ₹3400 Crore, reflecting a 21% year-over-year growth. The Company recorded an EBITDA margin of 8.5%. Lumax Auto Technologies delivered a stellar performance with a revenue of ₹3637 Crore, marking an impressive 29% growth over FY 2024-25. EBITDA reached a historic high with margins standing at 14%.

The acquisition of the remaining stake in IAC Group’s India Business by Lumax Auto Technologies marks a pivotal step in our journey towards long-term value creation, reinforcing our strategic vision and enabling future growth by building a strong foundation of continuity and scalability.

Followed by the acquisition, the IAC India’s new Chakan Plant 3 and the extension of Chakan Plant 1 were successfully inaugurated. These state-of-the-art facilities were established in record time, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to innovation and excellence in automotive interiors. We were privileged to welcome our esteemed customers and partners to these facilities, where we engaged in meaningful and forward-looking business discussions.

For Lumax Yokowo, it was a milestone quarter, as it marked their first dispatch to Lumax Group’s biggest customer Mahindra & Mahindra. Lumax Alps Alpine achieved the milestone of supplying one million Power Window Switches to Maruti Suzuki India and also inaugurated a new Throttle Position Sensor production line.

It is indeed gratifying to receive awards and recognitions from our valued customers and industry awards across di erent regions. We received the On-time Delivery Award and Best New Model Development Award. I take this opportunity to thank our customers and the industry associations for

acknowledging our good work and supporting us in our journey from Good to Great. These accolades motivate us to strive for excellence in innovation, operational e ciency, and customer satisfaction.

We commemorated June as World Environment Month at Lumax Group, I take pride in the quiet yet determined strides we are making toward a more sustainable future. From achieving zero untreated wastewater discharge across all active plants to embracing renewable energy and sustainable practices, our commitment runs deep. This month, our teams across locations came together for meaningful initiatives - from tree plantation drives to awareness campaigns, reinforcing that sustainability at Lumax is a shared responsibility and a way of life.

As we step into the next chapter of this milestone year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you. Your hard work, integrity, and perseverance are the foundation of our collective success. Let us continue to work with passion and purpose, embracing change, driving innovation, and contributing to a future that is not just profitable, but also sustainable and inclusive.

Best regards,

KNOW YOUR LEADER

People Development is the key. Everything can be achieved if we develop people.

Lumax Group’s Journey towards Growing Responsibly

Sustainability without the Spotlight

Sustainability is not seen as a marketing slogan or a one-time initiative at Lumax group. It is a quiet, deliberate shift, rooted in pragmatism, participation, and personal responsibility. While our legacy has long been associated with lighting roads and enabling mobility across India, we have steadily embraced a parallel mission: to illuminate the path towards a more sustainable future.

This transformation did not begin with a dramatic announcement. It emerged from a series of consistent, thoughtful decisions. We began by reusing a little water, even when our operations required consumption in kilo-litres. We started measuring environmental parameters that were once overlooked. We asked critical questions about the fate of our waste before it left our premises.

These small but significant actions have now evolved into a clear and strategic direction.

When Numbers Tell the Story

From Energy Consumption to Energy Consciousness across our 42 manufacturing facilities, the transition to renewable energy has been both technical and cultural. We have moved beyond compliance to cultivate a mindset of energy consciousness.

Today, over 60% of our energy requirements are met through renewable sources. We have installed 34 MWp of solar capacity across key locations including LIL Dharuhera, LIL & LATL Bangalore, LIL & IAC Chakan, and LIL Sanand. Two plants, LIL Bangalore and LATL Bangalore, will be operating on 100% renewable energy by the time you will be reading this.

Our targets are clear: 70% renewable energy by FY 2025–26 and 100% by FY 2027–28.

Today, Lumax is guided by six ambitious Environmental Goals that reflect our commitment to responsible growth:

Achieving Net Zero Emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by FY 2027–28

Reaching Net Zero Emissions (Scope 3) by 2035

Pursuing Life Cycle Zero CO₂ Emissions

Minimising waste generation and maximising recycling

Optimising water usage across all operations

Contributing to the creation of a future society in harmony with nature

Our vision is to make Sustainability not just an organisational target, but a personal commitment.

Over 60% of our energy comes from renewables

Sites like Sanand and Dharuhera have made remarkable progress in a short span, with Sanand increasing its renewable energy share from 1% to 61%, and Dharuhera from 5% to 58%, including a beautiful Opex Solar Park (upcoming Ecological Park) in 2 acres of land. Our targets are clear: 70% renewable energy by FY 2025–26 and 100% by FY 2027–28. These e orts have already resulted in an annual reduction of 53,332 metric tons of CO₂ emissions.

Every Drop Counts

Water sustainability has become an integral part of our operational strategy. All active plants now ensure zero untreated wastewater discharge. We have implemented advanced equipment, conducted

Beyond compliance, we are actively pursuing water reuse initiatives like in-house gardening. These measures not only enhance e ciency but also build long-term resilience against water scarcity.

Waste to Worth

policy. All waste is meticulously segregated, tracked, reused, or recycled and sold only to authorised third parties. Waste streams are regularly being mapped by type, including polythene, batteries, biomedical waste, and construction debris, ensuring responsible handling at every stage.

Beyond Checklists – Building a Culture

The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Leap

Lumax is poised to become India’s first automotive lighting company to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) across its product portfolio. LCAs are planned across 11 plants, including Bangalore, Bawal, Dharuhera, Sanand, Chakan, Pantnagar and Haridwar. We will be integrating GreenPro certification into our

Digitalisation of Data

Recognising the limitations of manual tracking, we have transitioned to AI-enabled ESG data systems. This shift has halved the time required for data managementreducing manpower hours from 10 to 5 per unit - while significantly improving accuracy, transparency and audit readiness.

Analytics Overview

product development processes. This will be evaluating the environmental impact in the manufacturing of each product, fulfilling our responsibility as a producer.

Real-time ESG dashboards provide detailed analysis and actionable insights, enabling faster and more informed decision-making. Because in sustainability, timely data is not a luxury, it is a necessity.

Sustainability Is a Team Sport

We understand that a supply chain is only as sustainable as its most vulnerable link. To support it, we have initiated BRSR Core reporting from FY 2024-25 onwards. Our suppliers are being trained on ESG metrics and carbon reduction planning, and we are establishing systems for joint monitoring and mitigation.

Rooted in Culture

Sustainability at Lumax is no longer being confined to boardrooms or policy documents. It is being embedded in the everyday actions of our teams. Employees across units are encouraged to undertake Kaizens focused on energy, water, and waste. Eco pledges, ranging from eliminating single-use plastics to promoting local sourcing are becoming an integral part of our work culture.

Transformations

happen

when cultures change. And cultures change only at the grass-root level.

Recognition That Reflects Our Work

Our e orts have been acknowledged by industry leaders and institutions. LUMAX has received the Sustainability Gold Award from TVS Motors, earned recognition from Volkswagen and Tata Motors, and secured CII’s ESG Certification for plants such as LCAT Chakan and IAC Chakan-2. These accolades a rm that our internal commitments are translating into visible, external

A Journey, Not a Destination

We do not claim to have all the answers. Nor do we seek to portray perfection. Our approach is grounded in transparency, and continuous improvement. We are not greenwashing our way through milestones - we are building a path forward, one step at a time.

This transformation is not optional. It is essential. And we are proud to be part of the solution.
