The 8 Decade logo is more than a celebration—it’s a symbol of Lumax Group's legacy, continuity, and limitless aspiration, capturing the essence of how our past, present, and future converge to drive us forward with purpose.

Shaped as the number 80, it marks our eight-decade journey. Flowing into the infinity symbol (∞), it reflects our enduring values and vision-Built to Last, from 1945 to Eternity.

The three interwoven loops subtly represent three generations of the founding family, passing on Purpose, Passion, and Pride, each generation building on the last while looking ahead and building new paths.

This logo honours our past and inspires our future, commemorating our legacy.

KNOW YOUR LEADER

One challenge that I see is the general perception about communications, everybody thinks that our work involves putting lipsticks on presentations. Our work actually involves a lot of perception changes, creating narratives that define or change perceptions, that are hard to quantify.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

AT LUMAX

SHAPING THE FUTURE THROUGH INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY

Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) are integral to Lumax Group’s Mission and Vision, reflecting the organisation’s deep-rooted commitment to innovation, equity, and sustainable growth.

These principles guide Lumax’s strategic approach to building a workforce enriched by diverse perspectives, which in turn fosters resilience, adaptability, and excellence in today’s dynamic automotive landscape.

Far beyond compliance or checkboxes, it’s about recognising talent without unconscious bias, nurturing competence, and creating an inclusive environment where every individual has an equal opportunity to thrive.

It is an important part of Hoshin 7 - "Most Admired Group - Implement ESG, Achieve Carbon Neutrality & Plant Sustainability by 2028. (High on Customer Rating, Impactful CSR, Gender Diversity, Inclusivity & RE100)" that emphasises on building a future where Diversity and Inclusion serve as

cornerstones, shaping a more innovative, resilient and a forward-looking organisation.

The journey towards diversity and inclusion at Lumax began where it matters most, on the shop floor, at the heart of its operations.

This transformation has gone far beyond recruitment metrics or meeting diversity targets. It required a cultural shift in how manufacturing is perceived and structured.

Traditionally, the automotive sector has been male-dominated, with longstanding perceptions around physical demands and role compartmentalisation limiting the participation of diverse groups. However, with technological advancements, robotic processes, and flexible work arrangements, new pathways to inclusivity have emerged.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AT LUMAX

Lumax embraces this evolution—recognising diversity and inclusion not only as drivers of operational excellence, but also as instruments of social upliftment and positive transformation within the industry.

The organisation's D&I e orts are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 5 (Gender Equality): Encouraging woman workforce participation at all levels.

• SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): Creating dignified job opportunities.

• SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): Ensuring equal opportunities, including for specially-abled employees.

CREATING A CULTURE OF INCLUSION ON THE SHOPFLOOR – ONE STEP AT A TIME

At Lumax, inclusion is more than just a policy—it’s a mindset that shapes everyday actions. On the shopfloor, this belief is brought to life through real, tangible practices that ensure every individual, regardless of gender or background, feels respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.

It all begins with a simple yet powerful question:

WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR A WOMAN TO THRIVE ON THE

SHOPFLOOR?

The answers emerge through the voices of Lumax employees, from women stepping onto the shopfloor for the first time, to supervisors reimagining inclusive leadership. Together, these perspectives are redefining what it means to create a workplace where everyone belongs and contributes with confidence.

Opening Doors with Purpose: Through dedicated hiring drives, we are actively reaching out to women from diverse walks of life, non-metro towns where opportunities are often limited. Each new hire is not just a number, they bring stories of courage, ambition, and hope into our workforce.

Equipping with Skills, Backed by Confidence: Our customised training modules are designed to equip women with the technical expertise and confidence to take on operations roles. Whether it is learning to handle complex machinery or understanding production nuances, we ensure no one is left behind.

Spaces that Speak of Safety and Comfort: Inclusion is also about dignity. We have upgraded our shopfloor infrastructure with ergonomic improvements, designated changing rooms, dedicated transport facility, and crèche support, small changes that speak volumes about the respect we hold for every individual.

POLICIES THAT WALK THE TALK

It’s easy to speak of equity but it’s harder to build systems that uphold it.

Various policies support women at workplace, in the organisation's endeavour to create a safe, joyful, diverse and inclusive workplace, it o ers Flexible Hours for women: during pregnancy and up to 15 months postpartum, they are entitled to 2 hours of daily flexibility. It’s a small shift in time, but a big leap in care and empathy.

Crèche Facilities across locations, to ensure comfort for new parents and the child to have a safe place. Working parents can breathe easy knowing their children are cared for in a nurturing environment nearby. Inclusive Parenthood Leave, is a big step towards ensuring 84 days of paid leave for all primary caregivers, whether it is mothers, single fathers, or LGBTQIA+ parents. Because love and care are beyond labels.

Springboard Policy, recognising the courage it takes to return to work after a break. The Lumax Springboard initiative helps women restart their careers with confidence and enthusiasm.

CHANGING HEARTS, NOT JUST RULES

Creating a truly inclusive culture means addressing unconscious biases and building allyship. Through conversations and awareness, we are shaping a culture where respect and equality are not taught, they are lived.

At Lumax, inclusion is not a destination, it is a journey we are proud to walk together.

Every policy, every story, every small change is a step towards a future where everyone belongs, and everyone thrives.

PERSONAL HYGIENE = HEALTHY & CONFIDENT YOU!

Personal hygiene is not just about looking good - it is about feeling good and staying healthy!

As part of Lumax’s ongoing e orts under the Quality Education pillar, the organisation is empowering students with essential knowledge and habits related to personal hygiene—enabling them to lead healthier, more confident lives.

As part of ongoing Life Skills program running in 3 states - Haryana, Gujarat and Maharashtra in this quarter. Lumax conducted engaging sessions for 150 students at GHS Mau Lokri & GSSS Baspadmka, in Gurugram, Haryana, reinforcing the importance of self-care and cleanliness.

Why are these sessions important?

• Many students lack awareness of basic hygiene practices.

• Poor hygiene can lead to infections, absenteeism & low self-esteem.

• Adolescents face puberty-related changes that require proper hygiene management.

• Good hygiene boosts social confidence & prepares them for adulthood.

Impact of our sessions

• Increased awareness of daily hygiene habits like bathing, oral care & grooming.

• Students showed curiosity about puberty-related changes & learned how to manage them.

• Encouraged responsibility for personal cleanliness, promoting self-respect & social well-being.

• Notable improvement in school attendance

EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS TO SHAPE THEIR FUTURE

A large section of young individuals in our country lack access to accurate and timely information about career opportunities, hence are unable to make informed choices and decisions that impact their lives. This gap in career guidance often results in underutilisation of talent and potential.

To bridge this gap, career guidance and counselling initiative of Lumax focusses to assess the aptitude, identify the interest and map with possible career choices and opportunities for the students. This foundational knowledge is necessary for them to make informed choices on the possibilities. By helping them identify their strengths and understand their options, Lumax empower them to take steps towards their career goals.

Career guidance and counselling sessions were conducted across 25 schools in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana, where students explored career options based on the market needs and gained valuable insights into planning their career paths

MAKING LEARNING FUN AND MEMORABLE!

Lumax aimed to make learning fun by conducting an interactive session for primary school students on how blood is formed. This approach took science to the next level, providing a hands-on, messy, and seriously fun way for students to learn about the "magic flowing through our veins." The session also fostered teamwork, creativity, and resulted in big smiles all around. Textbooks were swapped for slime and creativity, where:

Glue represented Plasma (the liquid hero) Red orbs represented RBCs (oxygen carriers) Thermocol balls represented WBCs (infection fighters) Pink cut-outs represented Platelets (the clot crew)

SCREEN THE WAY TO GOOD HEALTH

Every experience with cancer is di erent but one thing remains the same: we are stronger when we stand together. This year’s theme, "United by Unique", reminds us to look beyond the disease and see the person before the patient.

With Lumax's implementation partner, Indian Cancer Society it is doing it's part by:

• Educate communities about cancer risks & early detection.

• Organise screening camps.

• Support treatment for those in need.

In this quarter, we organised 4 camps in Gurugram, Nuh and Rewari districts in Haryana. 351 members from the communities were benefitted from camp.

The organization's mission does not end at detection. For those diagnosed, they are ensuring treatment support so that treatment is never out of reach, because they believe no one should have to fight cancer alone. Their commitment to SDG 3 – Good Health & Well-being – drives them to make healthcare more accessible, ensuring that early detection and treatment are within everyone's reach. This initiative is more than just a camp; it is a movement towards awareness, action, and accessible healthcare.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

The Republic Day celebration, organised by Lumax Auto Technologies, Bengaluru at Belur Government Primary School, and the Bellur Krishnamachar & Seshamma Smaraka Niddhi Trust, was filled with learning, creativity, and patriotic spirit. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for young students to understand the significance of the Indian Constitution through a series of thoughtfully designed activities and games, students explored the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution, deepening their appreciation for the values that shape our nation.

Beyond learning awareness about the Constitution, these activities also helped students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, communication, and empathy. It was a day of fun, learning, and inspiration, reinforcing the importance of being responsible and informed citizens.

HOLI CELEBRATION

This year’s holi celebration started with the story behind celebrating Holi, students discovered the festival’s rich cultural significance and the spirit of togetherness it represents.

With laughter echoing through the room, students eagerly launched bursts of vibrant hues into the air, turning the space into a kaleidoscope of colours. Armed with straws and paint, they let their creativity flow, crafting beautiful patterns with colourful splashes. It was a day filled with learning, joy, and the true essence of Holi—celebration, creativity, and togetherness.

EMPOWERING WOMEN, TRANSFORMING LIVES

This Women’s Day, the organisation chose to go beyond celebrating with its "Sheroes" in communities. With passion and purpose, they took a step to equip them with skills, knowledge, and confidence to embark on a journey of empowerment.

Across three states – Gurugram/Rewari in Haryana, Pune in Maharashtra, and Sanand in Gujarat – they provided hands-on training at their Cutting & Tailoring Workshop, along with essential toolkits to help convert these skills and trainings into opportunities.

Self-defense training was also conducted for self-protection, focusing on understanding rights and responsibilities. An intimate and heartfelt session was held where participants discussed life-impacting topics such as family planning, early marriages, and menstrual health in a safe space provided by the Lumax team and its implementation partners.

The program was designed and celebrations focused on ‘leaving no one behind’.

BRIDGING THE GAP FOR THE FUTURE

As the automotive industry shifts from traditional manufacturing to advanced technologies like IoT, mechatronics, robotics, AI, and automotive design, there is a growing mismatch between industry needs and the skills possessed by today’s youth.

Recognising this gap, Lumax Group, in collaboration with ASDC, conducted pilot sessions with students in Haryana to explore their interests and career aspirations in the evolving automotive landscape. The sessions provided insights into students’ expectations and helped lay the groundwork for future skill development initiatives, ensuring they are well-prepared for the industry’s transformation.
