Congratulations on a successful full month of Loyalty Pawn! This is the first issue of the new company newsletter, Three Balls Chronicle, we will be putting a new issue out every month and will include top performers from the last month, an HR Corner, upcoming companywide sales, birthdays, a couple activities and much more. Once again thank you so much for a great and successful first month after the company transition. We really appreciate all the hard work and cooperation that everyone has shown and we can’t wait for the new and exciting things to come in the near future!!

A Few Words from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

We have done it! A successful full month. I want to say first THANK YOU to all for your enthusiasm and all the extra work that many have put into making this transition as smooth as possible. I want to let everyone know about all the exciting things we have accomplished so far and what to expect in the near future.

We have implemented a new health care plan with improved benefits. Have the best human resources specialist with us to assist us with all the details of that department, including team recruiting, new team member on boarding, benefit management, personnel report management, time and attendance, payroll and disciplinary up to and including termination. I am very excited to have Dmae join our team and am excited to the life she will bring to our team and culture. Look for the HR Corner in this and upcoming newsletters. There have been more accomplishments, but I would like to get into where we are headed.

Roseville is expanding! We are in the process of remolding the new space next to our Roseville location and opening a higher end luxury goods department. We will be creating a more retail environment and store front with emphasis on luxury handbags, retail jewelry lines as well as art and estate jewelry area. Thank you to Dylan and the teams that he has got to help with the beginning steps to the remodel. 401k coming soon, as I write this letter I am communicating with John Hancock retirement services and will be providing information to you very soon! GIA I have a goal to have all Loyalty Pawn team members to have completed the Applied Jewelry Professional online courses to help us have the tools to negotiate, buy, sell and pawn with better clarity and more confidence moving forward. This will be an added benefit that Loyalty Pawn will be providing to help build the possibility of careers in the jewelry industry if you so choose to stay in the jewelry industry. My goal is to also have a Graduate Gemologist at every location. Wayne and I are also in the process of getting bids for remodeling each of our locations to be brighter, fresher and a more open feel. New exterior painting and signage as well. We will be keeping the momentum of our new and exciting vision for Loyalty Pawn as we move forward with these ventures.

In closing I really just want to say Thank You again and appreciate your commitment to Loyalty Pawn and I am looking forward to how Team Loyalty can take the local pawn brokering industry to the next level, from community involvement, relationships with law enforcement, customer service, career building and especially creating the most vibrant team culture in the industry.

A Letter from the General Manager Team,

As we kick off to a great start at Loyalty Pawn, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge some of our great accomplishments. We are operating with tremendous excitement and enthusiasm. This is incredible and overwhelming. We are wearing new uniforms, soon to have newer well branded store environments. Furthermore, I’m proud that we have established the company’s Vision, Values and Goals that further cement our existence. We are all a part of this growing team! For those of you that seem pessimistic about the changes, I can assure you that we will be creating a work environment that will be inspirational, challenging and fun. We have already made significant strides and plan on doing much more!

We are very excited in spreading our brand to each location. We will first start at Broadway and then we will work on a retail environment for our Loyalty Brand at the Roseville location. Our Company signage will too be changing store to store. In the very near future, our Ebay operation will be up and running. We have much to be excited about and proud of. Let’s all succeed together!!!

-Make yourself invaluable!!

Steps to Success

LEASE LINE once crossed, it’s “showtime” with total focus on performance and primary focus be on the customer.

GROM THE BALANCES huge focus on growing our pawn, loan and layaway balances to ensure future success.

GREEN & CLEAN—our goal is to have a “customer ready” store for every customer that drives into our parking lot and enters into our stores.

THE “BASICS” high level execution of the drop process, reminder calls, loam/purchase walks, loan/sales standards daily.

SET THE STAGE—our jewelry showcases need to be “popping” and ready for Tax Time, price points, cleanliness and combos.

UTILIZE YOUR TOOLS Pawn Loan Qualifying training of all team members.

SMART WALKS—Area Managers need to be completing 1 to 2 times per week.

REDUCE AGED move the aged responsibly, know how much 365+ you had as of 12/31/17, track progress daily!

CATEGORY AUDITS Area Managers assign weekly, stores, conduct the audit and report their results weekly.

PHONE SCRIPT execute the January phone script and remember the goal is to get them into our stores!

WORK HARDER, WORK SMARTER & HAVE FUN let’s make 2018 ours! We’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over!

Team Loyalty some of these STEPS TO SUCCESS may not make sense to you yet, but we will be coming out with some details on each of these STEPS in the near future. Let’s be the best pawnbrokers we can be!

Loyalty Pawn HR Corner

Hi I'm Dmae (short for Darlamae) and I'm your new Loyalty Pawn HR host, consigliere, workforce planning and development specialist, payroll and benefits guru. You know that Farmer's Insurance TV commercial where JK Simmon recites his famous tag line, "At Farmers Insurance we know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two?" Multiply that by 30 years of managing multi-site, multistate business operations with thousands of employees in a variety of industries doing all kinds of wonderful and kooky things. For me, never has a tag line such as this been more apropos because over the years, I've learned an HR thing or two, because I've seen an HR thing or two; the good, the bad and the ugly. Okay, enough TV metaphors.

24/7 Loyalty HR Support

If you need payroll, benefits, or any type of employee service support, you can call, text, or email me anytime. Supporting people, is what I do best. Call or Text Me: 916-7522255. Email Me at HR@LoyaltyPawn.com

New Things On the Loyalty Horizon

Over the next few months I'll be working with Loyalty's Management Team in designing and implementing the new Employee Handbook and Benefits Brochure as well as collectively developing new training programs (also referred to as HRD "human resource development") designed to offer Loyalty team members a chance to build on old skills as well as learn new skills through some planned learning activities. Stay tuned for details!

ADP

Run: Employee Self-Serve

Portal Time cards, pay stubs, and W2s...oh my! If you need help with your ADP employee registration or would like assistance with learning how to navigate inside ADP, call, text, or email me anytime and I'll be happy to get your up and running-no pun (well maybe just a little).

Imagine for a moment an HR Practitioner who is available to its workforce on-demand delivering 24/7 employee support along with holistic HR, payroll and benefits solutions designed to meet today’s craziest of business challenges. Does that even exist? Glad you asked because I have the greatest privilege of introducing you to the new, ondemand workforce support system at Loyalty Pawn HR!

HR is one of the most important components of any company because it supports what is the single most representative and the single most influential asset owned by a company: its people

HR Trivia: True or False?

The list below is a mixture of some true and some false HR factoids. Your challenge, should you wish to accept it, is to identify the ones that are true and which are made up?

1. Women’s workstations are 205 dirtier than men’s.

2. 18% of job seekers search for jobs while on the toilet.

3. 26% of interviewees were eliminated due to weak handshakes.

4. Interviewees wearing green are more likely to get hired.

5. The average employee spends 20 minutes a day looking for lost files.

6. 2:16pm is the time of day that employees lose focus the most.

To take this HR Trivia challenge, click here and enter the HR Raffle to win $25 Starbucks Gift Card!! Answers will be posted in next month's newsletter. Have an HR question? Something not clear? Need after hour support? Email HR@LoyaltyPawn.com or call Dmae at 916-752-2255
