President’s Letter

Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,

As we step into another promising month, I want to take a moment to celebrate the remarkable growth in our loan balance. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in achieving this success, thank you and let’s keep up the great momentum!

While we've seen impressive sales figures, it's important to note that these were primarily driven by wholesale activities, spurred by the rise in gold prices. Our focus now should be on enhancing our retail sales figures, a task I’m confident we can achieve together.

Exciting news from Wayne, Javier, and Tony, which is the introduction of a new product line is imminent, and I encourage everyone to embrace this new opportunity.

Additionally, our participation in the National Pawnbrokers Association Expo was highly beneficial. I'm confident that attendees will return with insightful strategies to further strengthen Loyalty Pawn and our industry.

Let's continue to build on our successes and seek new avenues for growth.

Best regards,

Letter from the General Manager

Greetings Everyone,

As Expected, we had a strong growth month in July. Our loans grew over 200k with growth expectations forecasted for August as well. Congratulations to both El Camino and Broadway for hitting their 20% sales goals. Although the stores had a strong loan growth month, we were still able to capture some retail sales in a month that has historically been soft in retail.

I would like to acknowledge the top 3 salesman for July. Congratulations to Dominic T 1st place, Norma B. 2nd place and Ah X. 3rd place. Great job team. To compare 2024/2025 sales for July, El Camino sold 21% more in July 2025, Florin sold -10% less in 2025, Roseville sold35% less in 2025 & Broadway sold 40% more in 2025.

Very soon, we will be adding a new line of jewelry inventory to our locations. We are expanding our jewelry offerings to now include lab created diamonds. This will be a mined diamond alternative. Many retailers are tapping into this market and the lab cr eated diamonds are an affordable option to mined diamonds. Javier has noticed lately that celebrities are starting to include these jewelry pieces as part of their fashion everyday accessories. The lab created diamond lines will be an added product to our continuously growing inventory, and we will be showcasing these in the very near future. With proper merchandising and product knowledge, we believe that this addition will continue to increase our retail potential.

To conclude, I wanted to thank those who have signed up for the AJP courses. These classes are a gateway to diving a little deeper into the world of jewelry. As it stands, the business is comprised of 80% jewelry and 20% general goods. These courses will h elp boost your knowledge, vocabulary and general understanding of the anatomy of stones and jewelry. Good luck!

Sincerely,

“A diamond is merely a lump of coal that did well under pressure.”- Unknown

Loyalty Pawn Family

Greetings, Loyalty Family!

We’re thrilled to share our latest venture into the dazzling world of lab-grown diamonds. These stunning gems, made from the same chemical composition as their natural counterparts, boast the same incredible hardness on the Mohs scale, ranking a perfect 10 out of 10! As we explore this exciting trend, we can’t help but notice how it captures the hearts of many celebrities. Icons like Emma Watson, who champions sustainable fashion, and Penélope Cruz, with her own collection of lab-grown diamond jewelry, are leading the charge. Leonardo DiCaprio, an environmental advocate, has even gifted a lab-grown diamond to a loved one, while Miley Cyrus has been spotted flaunting her own gorgeous lab-grown ring.

This movement is not just about diamonds; it’s about making thoughtful choices that reflect our values. So why should our clients consider lab-grown diamonds as a fantastic alternative to natural diamonds? First and foremost, lab-grown diamonds offer an environmentally friendly option. With growing concerns about the impact of diamond mining on the planet, lab-grown diamonds provide a guilt-free choice that aligns with ethical consumption. They are created in controlled environments, resulting in fewer inclusions and flaws, which often means buyers can find larger and higher-quality stones for their budget. Additionally, lab-grown diamonds are typically 20-30% less expensive than their natural counterparts, allowing customers to maximize their investment. This cost-effectiveness can be particularly appealing for couples looking to get the most value for their money while securing a stunning engagement ring or piece of jewelry. Imagine being able to present a larger, more brilliant diamond without stretching the budget!

Moreover, lab-grown diamonds are also a reflection of modern innovation. They resonate with younger, tech-savvy generations who appreciate the science and craftsmanship that goes into creating these beautiful gems. It's a conversation starter; clients can proudly share that their diamond is not only beautiful but also a product of cutting-edge technology. As we embrace the trend of lab-grown diamonds, it’s essential to convey to our clients that both lab-grown and natural diamonds share the same allure and brilliance. They are equally stunning and can fulfill the dream of owning a breathtaking piece of jewelry without the ethical concerns commonly associated with mining.

Loyalty Family,

Happy National Tell a Joke Day (August 16th)! Here’s a light-hearted one to start us off:

Why can’t you trust ducks? Because they’re always quacking jokes!

As we move through Q3, let’s carry that same positive energy into our work. July was a strong month, and we’re looking to build on that momentum in August. Team El Camino’s sales goal for August is $104,812.52. To reach it, we need to start strong and maintain focus throughout the month. With everyone's effort, strategic selling, and fresh inventory hitting the floor, there's no doubt we can achieve it.

Additionally, we’re boosting our Google reviews the target is 2 reviews per team member per day. The team member with the most reviews by August 31st will win a Starbucks gift card, so bring your A-game! On a positive note, we’ve seen fewer defaults and increased pawn service charges, which shows that our clients would rather keep their items and loaning correctly also reflects on our loan book. We as management see the hard work and dedication each of you brings to the table. Let’s continue driving results, supporting one another, and staying customer focused.

Keep pushing forward, Team El Camino!

Let’s bring the energy, support each other, and finish August stronger than ever!

Hello Team,

We’re excited to share that our store continues to grow steadily, we are always pushing forward and keeping the momentum going. We’ve maintained our loans and layaways assuring we stay committed to serving our customers with every avenue possible

A big highlight this month is that we’ve hit our 20% stretch goal in sales! This is a huge win for the entire team, and it wouldn’t have been possible without everyone’s hard work and dedication. We are looking forward to doing this again next month knowing it’s going to be a bigger hurdle.

While we celebrate our progress, we’re also saying goodbye to two amazing team members. We’re sad to see Yaru and Dom leave, but we’re incredibly proud of their next steps. Yaru will be starting her journey at El Camino, and we know she’ll thrive there. Dom is off to a new job opportunity, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.

Finally, we’re thrilled to welcome Stephanie to the team! We’re excited to see the energy, ideas, and perspective she’ll bring as we continue to grow together. Thank you to my team for the great work.

Thank you,

Team Florin is determined to achieve our sales goal of $86.2k this month. To reach this target, we are implementing strategic initiatives focused on enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction. One of our primary focuses is encouraging more Google reviews from our customers. Positive feedback will significantly improve our online reputation, attract new customers and trust existing ones.

Additionally, we are aiming for a 30% increase in our layaway balance. By promoting layaway options, we provide our customers with flexible payment plans, making it easier for them to commit to larger purchases. This approach not only boosts sales but also strengthens customer loyalty.

As we push forward, our team’s commitment and collaboration will be essential in executing these strategies effectively. With a united effort, we believe we can reach our sales goal. Let’s stay focused and motivated!

NPA Pawn Expo 2025

Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Pawnbrokers Association’s Pawn Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, where I currently reside, alongside Wayne, Javier, and my father, Stan. It was an inspiring experience to be surrounded by pawnbrokers from across the country, all gathered in one place to learn, connect, and grow together.

Over the course of the event, I participated in a variety of insightful educational sessions, including presentations and training sessions from GIA, discussions on the future of AI in the pawn industry, and talks led by professionals who are truly passionate about their work. Each session offered valuable knowledge and fresh perspectives that deepened my understanding of the industry.

One of the most exciting parts of the expo was the Jewelry Exchange and Trade Show. The exhibit hall was filled with innovative vendors showcasing everything from cutting -edge technology to stunning jewelry pieces. It was a great opportunity to explore new products, meet suppliers, and see firsthand how the industry continues to evolve.

This experience was especially meaningful as I prepare to begin my journey with Loyalty Pawn later this year. Attending the Pawn Expo before officially starting gave me a head start to learning more about what the industry is all about and allowing me to build relationships, gain industry insights, and feel even more excited about the path ahead!

I want to thank Wayne and Javier for the opportunity to attend this event, and I am incredibly excited about joining the Loyalty Pawn team. The future looks bright, and I can’t wait to contribute and grow in this dynamic industry! I highly recommend, if the opportunity to attend any of these expos or conventions presents itself to pursue it.

AUGUST…

A Silly Poem by Spike Milligan

Said Hamlet to Ophelia, I'll draw a sketch of thee, What kind of pencil shall I use? 2B or not 2B?

AUGUST CALENDAR OF NATIONAL EVENTS

• August 1, traditionally known as Lammas Day, was an old festival to mark the annual wheat and corn harvest. It was a sort of Thanksgiving (harvest time) in Britain. Lammas also marked the mid-point between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.

• August 5 is also a Civic Holiday in many parts of Canada. Celebrations and names for this holiday vary across the country. For example, in Alberta, it’s celebrated as Heritage Day; in British Columbia, it’s known as British Columbia Day!

• August 10 is St. Lawrence’s Day. “Fair weather on St. Lawrence’s Day presages a fair autumn.”

• August 11 marks the end of the Dog Days of Summer, which began on July 3.

• August 17 is when the Cat Nights begin, harking back to a rather obscure Irish legend concerning witches; this bit of folklore also led to the idea that a cat has nine lives.

• August 19 brings National Aviation Day, chosen for the birthday of Orville Wright who piloted the first recorded flight of a powered heavier-than-air machine in 1903.

• August 24 is St. Bartholomew Day. “At St. Bartholomew, there comes cold dew.”

• August 26 is Women’s Equality Day, which celebrates the 1920 ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment and, with it, women’s right to vote in the United States.

Here are some more fun things to celebrate in August:

• Aug. 1–7: International Clown Week

• Aug. 3: National Watermelon Day

• Aug. 8: National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day

• Aug. 10: National S’mores Day

• Aug 12: Vinyl Record Day

• Aug. 13: International Left-Handers Day

• Aug. 20: International Geocaching Day

• Aug. 20: World Honeybee Day

• Aug. 25: Kiss-and-Make-Up Day
