‘Tis the Season THE HOLIDAYS ARE UPON US AND IT IS THE TIME OF YEAR TO FOCUS ON WHAT WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR AND SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Although the current COVID-19 pandemic makes traveling and gathering a bit more challenging, there are still plenty of ways to make this December a month to remember. Get crafty at home. Use this time to catch up on projects around the house or get more creative and whip out the art supplies. Perhaps design your own holiday cards and give snail mail a more meaningful spin. Decorate your own gingerbread house—or build a whole town. Bake. On the note of gingerbread, bake your own and make a batch of cookies while you’re at it. Try out a new pie recipe or try mulling some wine—doesn’t exactly count as baking, but it’s too good not to mention! Not inclined in the kitchen? Find

Get Outside! Just because some things are canceled doesn’t mean we can’t get outside and take advantage of the sunshine and fresh air. CELEBRATING THE

Silver Linings OF THE YEAR THAT WAS 2020

LIVEDISTINCT

After a challenging year, we are celebrating the small wins and positive changes seen throughout the Denver Metro area. We had a record-breaking year thanks to the incredible clients we are honored to work with day in and day out. We saw the Denver community come together during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic by donating their time and resources to those in need. We expanded our team and continued to grow personally and professionally by striving to focus on the silver linings. From our team at Live Distinct, we wish you all a happy holiday season and a successful start to a brand new year. Cheers!

-Delroy Gill and Stuart Crowell

THE LIVE DISTINCT COMMUNITY During the start of the COVID-19 pandemic we saw Denver helping Denver like never before. From donating food and clothing, to cleaning parks and helping to pay for energy bills, we witnessed the strength and resilience of the Denver community and could not be prouder to call this city our home.

SOLD WITHIN 24 HOURS We believe that every home has a story, and the marketing of any home needs to embrace and showcase that story. When our clients needed us to move quickly, we pulled our powerhouse team together to create the environment, presentation and media content needed to knock it out of the park. Within 24 hours of hitting the open market this home was under contract with multiple offers! It was sold over list price at $1,275,000.

SIGNIFICANT TEAM SALE With a record-breaking year of sales volume, we are continuously reminded why we are so fortunate to work in this incredible industry and have a small hand in shaping our community for the future. We are proud to have had our highest sale of the year in Cherry Creek that closed at $3,850,000.

ALEXANDRÉ HOOSON, CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF CCL, SAT DOWN WITH LAUREN BAILEY, CEO AND CO-FOUNDER OF UPWARD PROJECTS, POSTINO’S PARENT RESTAURANT GROUP FOR A Q&A. A: WHAT MADE YOU PICK THE HALE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR YOUR NEW LOCATION? L: Our philosophy is to find great neighborhoods that are looking for a place for people to gather, so right away we started targeting the Hale neighborhood because we heard that a lot of our guests were driving to the Lohi location from that area. We wanted to come up with a space that had an open air feel and a long patio to highlight the great weather Tim Gillies Photography

in Colorado, and this location allowed for that. A: HOW DOES THE INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPT FIT DENVER AND COLORADO?

L: We took the time to think about the space. I had this huge brass mid-century modern chandelier before we even moved in. I also came up with the sunglasses wall, which was inspired by Colorado topping the charts in days of sunshine and Denverites who are really outdoorsy. The thousands of sunglasses that make up the installation were collected from Postino diners. A: WHAT INSPIRED THE YEAR ROUND BRUSCHETTA DISH? L: I wanted to see how we could create shareable food that you can enjoy with your friends. The menu is driven by high quality ingredients put into unique combinations. “You probably didn’t think to put brie and apple on a beautiful artisan piece of bread or figs and mascarpone?” A: WHAT MAKES YOUR WINEBAR DIFFERENT FROM OTHER OPTIONS IN DENVER AND WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT POSTINO’S WINE OFFERINGS? L: We like to combine high quality wine with a great value price, so we sell every glass for $5 during our $5 before 5 p.m. happy hour. We have a crazy talented beverage director Brent Karlicek, who focuses on small production and short run wines. “Our staff is highly trained and offers tastings in an approachable way.” When someone tells me they’re on a first date, or they take their out of town guests here - that means the most to me. “Coronavirus has made me realize what a privilege it is to create an environment for people to connect, over great food, wine, music and art.” “We are lucky, we have really large patios, and can open huge windows and garage doors. Additionally, our food travels really well, so we expanded our ‘Board and Bottle’ programming – $25 for a bottle of wine and board of bruschetta, Mondays and Tuesdays after 8 p.m. – to be available all day Mondays and Tuesdays when ordered through curbside pickup. It’s great for a Netflix night in with your friends.” - Lauren Bailey
