BILLY DALWIN PRE-SCHOOL OF TEMPLE EMUNAH 9 Piper Rd., Lexington (781) 861-0708, ​www.billydalwinpreschool.com Director: ​Shelley Rossman Staff: ​6 lead teachers, 6 assistant teachers Age Range: ​2.0 to 5 years Hours and Schedule: ● Half-day (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) and full-day (9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) Early drop-off 8 a.m.-9 a.m. daily ● Extended day until 5:30 p.m. Mon.-Thur. and until 3:30 p.m. on Friday ● Vacation camp option: Feb., Apr. and June Fun Camp. Class Information: ​We offer 2-day and 3-day options for children 2-3 years old. A 5-day option may be available for children 2-3 years old; call the office for more information. We offer 3- and 5-day options for 3-year olds. All 4-year olds attend our 5-day program. Facilities: ​5 classrooms, two large indoor play areas equipped for active play, library and a kitchen. Wooded nature space for exploration and fitness activities. Large outdoor playground with state-of-the-art equipment and ample open space designed for maximum accessibility, big muscle and imaginative play, and social interaction. Program/Philosophy: ​BDPS is a vibrant, warm and welcoming place for children to make friends, explore their interests and expand their skills. Daily curriculum provides an innovative and hands-on approach to learning that blends engaging Judaic and secular classroom activities tailored to the interests, abilities and needs of our students. As an inclusive program, BDPS welcomes children with special needs and values the diversity of backgrounds and observances of its Pre-School families. The school embraces all family structures including families of same sex parents and single parents. Enrollment Process: ​We begin accepting applications in September for the following year. Parents may schedule a visit to the school and meet the director after November 1. Families are notified of enrollment status by February 1. Parent Participation: ​Parents are welcome to volunteer in the classroom as well as assist with family programs and fundraising events. Special Activities: ​Wiggles & Giggles Movement Enrichment 3x/month, individual "in-house" field trips, Teva Time (nature club) activities every Wednesday morning. Friday morning Shabbat celebration throughout the year. Afternoon Enrichment: ​The BDPS offers enrichment programs every afternoon. This year’s programs have featured Science with Sally, Tot Chef, Yoga for Youngsters, and Stories Galore & More!
