Boston Harbor Island National Park
Boston, Long Wharf North www.bostonharborislands.org Cruise to the Boston Harbor Islands for a day trip. All the islands are within 10 miles of downtown Boston. A ferry will whisk you to the closest island in only 15 minutes from Long Wharf in Boston. On the islands, you'll find a lot of different activities to enjoy hiking, exploring historic sites, walking along the beaches,
photographing, bird watching, picnicking, swimming. Special free activities, such as kayaking, sailing, plays, and guided tours by Park Rangers about topics such as tidal pools, are scheduled daily. The park is free but there is a fee to ride the ferry.
Canobie Lake Park

Old Sturbridge Village

Parker’s Maple Barn

Plimoth Plantation
137 Warren Ave., Plymouth www.plimoth.org This living history museum of the 17th century has a 1627 Pilgrim village, a Wampanoag home site, the Mayflower II ship, and a crafts center. Expect lots of walking in this beautiful site by the sea (jogging stroller is recommended). Open from the second Saturday in March through the end of November. Free under age 5 with the purchase of an adult ticket.
