Treatments will be deeply personal journeys, shaped by therapists’ unique training, philosophy and passion
Lasse Eriksen
Celebrating expertise
Farris Bad is revolutionising the role of the therapist, as Lasse Eriksen explains
At Farris Bad, we believe in the transformative power of knowledge and in the people who hold it. In an industry often shaped by standardised treatments, we’re shifting the focus back to where the real magic happens – under the control of the therapist. Their hands, their experience and their energy are what create unforgettable guest experiences. Our therapists are not only leaders within our resort, but also active participants in international events and competitions, sharing their expertise and drawing inspiration from around the world.
We’re strong supporters of the International Massage Association (IMA) and we were honoured to be recognised as IMA Spa of the Year in 2023 for our excellence in wellness.
We’re proud of our team, whose talent and dedication continue to set new standards in the industry. Now, we’re taking that excellence one step further by introducing specialist treatments by Farris Bad therapists.
Innovation in treatments
A collection of exclusive 75-minute treatments will be created and performed at Farris Bad by therapists with up to 30 years’ experience. These will not be treatments written in a manual, but will be deeply personal journeys, shaped by each therapist’s unique training, philosophy and passion. They will represent the very best of what each therapist has to offer, refined through years of practice and a deep connection to their craft.
This evolution in our programming mirrors what we see in disciplines such as yoga, where clients seek out specific instructors for their unique knowledge, energy, insight and presence.
At Farris Bad, we believe spa guests will – and already do – seek the same and this shift honours individuality, supports specialisation and puts the therapist’s identity at the centre of the guest experience. By championing this personalised approach, we’re fostering a culture of recognition and respect. Therapists are empowered to take
ownership of their work, which boosts job satisfaction and supports long-term staff retention. Guests then benefit from treatments that go far beyond the expected, crafted with authenticity, intention and mastery.
The extra cost for clients of €20 associated with these bespoke treatments goes directly to the therapist, acknowledging the value of their expertise and rewarding their commitment to excellence.
Naturally, this new model brings challenges. If a therapist is unavailable, their treatment cannot simply be replicated. But this is not a flaw, it’s a feature. It highlights the authenticity and irreplaceability of the experience. In these cases, guests are offered the resort’s high-standard classic massages, ensuring they still receive outstanding care.
Guests benefit from treatments that go far beyond the expected, crafted with authenticity, intention and mastery
Crafting the future, together
We envision a future where therapists are celebrated as artists of wellness, where their growth is nurtured, their individuality respected and their passion shared.
This is more than a new service offering. It is a statement of values.
The future is not about one-size-fits-all treatments. The future is personal. The future is therapist-led. And it’s already begun. ● Lasse Eriksen is development manager at Farris Bad and a sauna expert

111SKIN’s spa/clinic concept is making waves globally – backed by a combination of medical expertise, intuitive partner support and potent products
111SKIN is a market-leading brand created by world-renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides and CCO Eva Alexandridis. Marrying medical expertise with advanced skincare, the brand was born from a need to bridge the gap between plastic surgery and everyday skin health. With more than 30 years’ experience and more than two decades of in-clinic practice at London’s 111 Harley St, Alexandrides leads 111Skin’s research and product development. He originally launched the brand in 2012 to offer clients post-surgical skincare solutions that were both effective and non-irritating – something he found lacking in existing clinical-strength products.
“Eva said, ‘If the right product doesn’t exist, then why not make it yourself?’ So, I did,” he recalls. From this vision, Alexandrides developed NAC Y2, his patented reparative complex, laying the foundation for 111Skin.
Leveraging his deep grasp of the epidermal structure, Alexandrides continues to push boundaries in skincare. His formulas incorporate next-generation actives designed for even the most sensitive skin, directly inspired by his experience with cutting-edge cosmetic technology and in-clinic treatments.
MAKING WAVES IN SPA
111Skin entered the spa industry in 2018 and swiftly established itself as a leader in sciencebacked, results-driven treatments. By merging Alexandrides’ medical expertise with clinic-inspired techniques and sensorial spa application, the brand has created a unique treatment philosophy – combining the luxury of a spa experience with the transformative results of 111 Harley St.
Rooted in both clinical and holistic wellness, the brand’s spa concept delivers indulgent treatment journeys while ensuring visible, lasting improvements to the skin.
Developed by Alexandrides and 111Skin’s global head aesthetician Milena Naydenov, these treatments integrate signature steps designed in the clinic to set new standards and revolutionise spa aesthetics.
Following Alexandrides’ 3D approach to aesthetics, the manual techniques work beyond the skin’s surface, engaging facial musculature to sculpt and renew for dramatic, sculpted results.
