Prior to entering the real estate market, Beth worked at Ben Lippen School as a teaching assistant and coach as well as in various other marketing and manager roles She possesses a remarkable talent for wedding coordination with brides trusting her to oversee and manage the details of their most special day. Beth’s creative flair extends to creating exquisite floral arrangements as well! She embodies elegance and charm to every event she orchestrates, ensuring that all are well-organized and seamless.

As a wife and mother to three daughters, Beth cherishes family above all else She prioritizes quality time with others, often indulging in outdoor walks at the Riverfront or Lake Murray Dam, coffee dates with friends, and fun family vacations Beth holds a special place in her heart for military families due to her daughter and son-in-law’s service in the Navy. This passion led her to become a Military Relocation Specialist.

THE RHETT HOUSE INN

Nestled in the heart of Historic Beaufort, South Carolina, the Rhett House Inn stately stands as a beacon of Southern Charm. From the moment your eyes meet the welcoming cobblestone paths and live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, you are sure to feel whisked away to centuries ago.

The property currently boasts the original Greek Revival style home with rooms also available in The Cottages and Newcastle House The main home dates back to 1820 having served as a private residence to the Rhett family until The Civil War.

The rooms in the main house are as timeless in their decor as the home itself yet entirely updated to meet modern comfort. Majestic moldings and well-appointed linens adorn each luxurious space. The veranda on the main level hosts breakfast while horse-drawn buggies pass you by Mrs Beverly has been serving fluffy pancakes smothered in warm maple syrup, fresh berriesandmade-to-ordereggsforover16years.Swappingstoriesandsippingcoffeewhileyou smell the salty air and feel the breeze encourage you to linger long and truly never rush a moment.

During the Civil War, the Rhett House Inn and many other homes around Beaufort, became hospitals for Union Soldiers. It has now been operating as a Bed & Breakfast since 1987.

The Newcastle House

The collection of cozy cottage rooms is a short walk one block back down through the lush grounds and has served as a store for freed slaves, a school and housing for seminary students. Each room has its own fireplace and spacious soaking tub Newcastle House was built to be the owner ’ s private space but is now used as additional rooms perfect for a family getaway or to entertain wedding guests It includes its own graciously appointed kitchen, extensive dining room, great room with fireplace and private screened porch overlooking the garden.

It is easy to understand why many celebrities including Tom Hanks, Robert Redfort, Barbara Streisand and Sandra Bullock have chosen The Rhett House Inn as their own oasis and personal retreat We highly recommend, regardless of which room you choose, a walk upstairs in the main house and out into the upper southern front porch. There you will be able to take to the hammock and swing among ancient oaks, overlook their manicured gardens, and escape into a peaceful respite.

A Reputation for Excellence

Having been founded in 1892 by Thomas Hitchcock, the club soon gained popularity among golfers as it attracted players from near and far with its immaculate fairways and difficult greens that, we were told, were at one time kept by a decorated military camouflage expert.

Palmetto Golf Club annually hosts the Devereux Milburn Tournament held the week prior to The Masters and has welcomed some of the most renowned players in the history of the game. The club has been a mainstay of the golf world and has had notable golf architects and players ranging from Donald Ross to Bobby Jones. Ben Hogan and Ben Crenshaw are among many that gave celebratory remarks regarding its century birthday

One step inside the clubhouse, completed in 1902, and you will instantly behold class and ageless appeal. It has continued to serve as a centerpiece for social events housing the pristine locker room and gathering hall I was instantly aware of the privilege that I had to sit within its walls and peer out the original blown glass squares onto the meticulous greens

Putting Down Roots: Pride in The Palmetto

The palmetto tree can be seen on everything from stickers on cars to emblems on caps. It is synonymous with everything in South Carolina But did you know that it is an enduring symbol of our rich history and resilience tracing back to the Revolutionary War? On June 28, 1776, Colonel William Moultrie defended Charleston from British naval forces at Fort Sullivan (modern-day Fort Moultrie) by constructing a fort built from none other than the iconic palmetto tree logs. Since the logs are not a true wood but instead a fibrous material that gives it a spongy and strong bend, it turned out to be the perfect solution to protecting our fort. Due to that unique composition of the palmetto wood, cannonball impacts were absorbed, thus denying the attack by the British The palmetto tree logs not only protected Charleston that day but also quickly became a symbol of our state's strength in the face of adversity.

In 1777, the palmetto tree was added to the South Carolina state seal. On January 28, 1861, the current version of our state’s flag displaying the palmetto tree was adopted by the General Assembly memorializing the role the palmetto tree played in securing our state’s success on Sullivan’s Island. Each year, June 28th is celebrated as “Carolina Day” in Charleston where palmetto trees are seen in abundance.

1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter

1 cup of flour

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of milk

2-3 cups of fresh sliced peaches

~Put 1 stick (½ cup) of unsalted butter in a casserole dish and set in cold oven.

~Preheat oven to 350 degrees with dish/butter in it.

~While the oven is heating, whisk together 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of sugar in a bowl.

~Once preheated, remove the casserole dish and pour in the flour mixture.

~Drop fresh sliced peaches on top.

~Sprinkle with a little more sugar if you wish.

~Bake for 30-40 minutes checking for the crust to be golden brown.

~We highly recommend to serve warm out of the oven with vanilla ice cream!
