4.Thepoolfenceshouldhaveaselfclosing,self-latchinggatewhichopens out,awayfromthepoolarea.Thelatch thatshouldbeatleast54inchesfrom theground,outofachild’sreach.

5.Ensurethatthegateislocked whenthepoolisnotinuse.Itisalsoa goodideatokeeptoysoutofthepool areawhennotinuse.
