Irecentlyreturnedfroma week-longadventureaboardthe CarnivalMardiGraswithmytwo kids,andI’mheretotellyou:This tripwaspackedwithfun,filled withunforgettablemoments,and absolutelymadeforfamilies.In fact,itmayjustbeourfavorite vacationyet.
Let’sstartwiththelogistics— becauseasparents,weknowtravelplanningisn’tjustaboutthedestination.It’salsoabouthow smoothlyyougetthere.Wechose tosailoutofPortCanaveral,andit wasagame-changer.Comparedto theheavytrafficandhustleof MiamiorFortLauderdale,the drivetoPortCanaveralwassurprisinglystressfree.Weavoidedmajor citycongestionandenjoyedscenic stretchesalongtheway.
Oncewearrivedattheport, everythingfromparkingtocheckinfeltorganizedandefficient.Plus itwasasuperquickprocess.Andthen? Themagicbegan.

spenthourschallengingeachotherand laughingtogether.Itwasscreen-freefamilytimeatitsfinest.

There’salsosomethingmagical aboutdressingupfordinnerona cruise.Evenmykidslookedforward to“fancynight,”whereweallgot dressedup,tookphotos,anddined onadeliciousover-the-topthree coursemeal!
IknowCarnivalhasoccasionally gottenabadrapinsomecircles,but ourexperienceontheMardiGras couldn’thavebeenmorepositive. Thecrewwaskindandattentive,the shipwascleanandwell-maintained, andtheentirevibewaswelcoming. NotoncedidIfeellikethiswasn’ta safeorenjoyablespaceformyfamily.Quitetheopposite.
Infact,whatIsawonthisship werehundredsoffamiliesjustlike ours,laughing,exploring,andmakingmemoriestogether.Carnival makescruisingaffordableforfamilies,andtheydeliverfuninaway that’sapproachable,inclusive,andfullof heart.
