We’re Back! Wow! Has our world turned upside down or what? I feel that this moment in time is this generation’s “Where were you when the world changed forever?” I know exactly where I was ... on vacation in the middle of the ocean, 60 mile per hour winds, 18 foot waves and a rumor of a newly instituted travel ban by the president being whispered among the passengers one hour into the trip. It was Sunday, March 8, 2020, and we had no news channels, no phone service and of course there was that invisible passenger call COVID-19 prowling about in the midst of us. All we knew was the world was changing, and we wanted to Go Back! I have never had more appreciation for the word “back.” With this being said, We Are Thankfully Back! After two months, our magazine is now back in print. Not that we were gone. We maintained our website, digital magazine and social media presence. To support our clients, we published and promoted digital content for them absolutely free ... to show our thanks for their loyalty to us. Besides the two digital issues, we published more than 40 articles to our website and 100 plus social media posts in that time. We are truly blessed to have our advertisers’ support and our readers’ support the past 29 years and we look forward to serving Lee County families for at least 29 more years. As Florida reopens, Family News will be there for you. We are back. Kathy
