CREATIVE PORTFOLIO LEAH JONES

WELCOME TO MY PORTFOLIO

Hello, my name is Leah. Welcome to my portfolio, a curated collection of my most impactful and creative work developed over the final two years of my degree. This body of work reflects the skills, growth, and passion I’ve cultivated throughout my university journey. Each project included represents not only my technical ability and design sensibility but also my commitment to pushing creative boundaries, responding to real-world briefs, and evolving as a visual thinker.

Over the last two years, I’ve explored various disciplines, from branding and market research to product design, styling, and campaign execution. These projects demonstrate my ability to manage full design processes, from concept development and strategy through to execution and reflection.

This portfolio serves as a visual narrative of my progression, highlighting the versatility of my work and the creative problem-solving skills I’ve developed along the way. I hope it provides a strong insight into my capabilities, creative direction, and the unique voice I bring to each piece.

BRAND X

For this trimester’s Brand X project, we were challenged to create a thoughtful and cohesive collaboration between a luxury fashion house and a streetwear brand. Assigned by our programme leader, my partner and I were given Loewe, known for its artisanal craftsmanship and elevated aesthetic, and Stüssy, a pioneer in streetwear culture with roots in surf and skate style.

Our goal was to merge both brand identities in a way that felt authentic and fresh, while appealing to their existing consumer bases. After exploring their individual brand DNAs, we identified coastal lifestyle and youthful luxury as a shared connection point, which led us to develop a collaborative swimwear range and a bespoke surfboard design. This concept allowed us to creatively blend Loewe’s refined, detail-focused luxury with Stüssy’s relaxed, surf-inspired streetwear roots.

The final outcome presents a curated capsule collection that reflects the values of both brands, functionality meets fashion-forward design, with the aim of engaging both highend consumers and a style-conscious youth audience.

INFLUENCE ME

In this trimester’s Influence Me module, we explored the impact of influencers and fast fashion on consumer behaviour and the wider fashion industry. Given the opportunity to choose our own direction, I chose to focus on the fast fashion avenue, driven by a strong personal interest in sustainability and ethical practices within the fashion world.

For my campaign, I selected EGO, a prominent fast fashion brand known for its rapid trend turnover and heavy influencer marketing. My aim was to create a campaign that directly challenges the environmental consequences of fast fashion, particularly the issue of plastic overconsumption and waste.

To visually communicate this message, I designed and created a dress made entirely from plastic bags, a symbolic and striking representation of the environmental cost behind disposable fashion. This concept allowed me to confront the viewer with the reality of fast fashion’s wastefulness in a bold, thought-provoking way, using a visual metaphor that aligns with the campaign’s message...cheap fashion comes at a high cost to the planet.

This project was a way for me to creatively raise awareness, encouraging audiences to reflect on their consumption habits while holding fast fashion brands accountable for their environmental impact.

BRAND ME

The Brand Me module was a deeply personal and creatively fulfilling part of my final year. This trimester gave me full control to shape my own project, from choosing the brand, writing the brief, to defining the final outcome. I took this opportunity to focus on something that truly reflects who I am and what I’m passionate about...summer, sunshine, and cute bikinis.

For this project, I chose to rebrand Azur Ibiza, a boutique swimwear label based in the heart of Ibiza. Known for its laidback luxury and Mediterranean style, Azur Ibiza felt like the perfect brand for me to creatively explore. My vision was to breathe new life into the brand through a holiday-inspired rebrand, centering around dreamy destinations, sun-drenched aesthetics, and standout swimwear pieces.

A key focus of my work was designing embellishments and embroidery on the bikinis, details that elevate each piece while staying true to the brand’s effortless, bohemian vibe. This final trimester allowed me to bring together my love for design, storytelling, and the summer lifestyle in a way that felt both authentic and creatively exciting.
