Because of you, they are safe when they are not in school, they have caring adult mentors guiding them, and they have opportunities they would not have otherwise.

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Hawaii is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The after-school hours have become a critical time for youth –a time when many children in our communities are left to fend for themselves without positive adult supervision. We provide a safe place filled with hope and opportunity, ongoing relationships with caring adult mentors, and enriching programs.

Youth of the Year

Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Club of America’s premier recognition program. Candidates are outstanding members, 14-17 years of age, who exhibit exceptional leadership skills, academic achievement and outstanding service to Club and community. Candidates who have competed in the Youth of the Year Academy and Competition, have gone on to great success and are proof to the impact Clubs make in transforming and saving kids’ lives.
