Milford Regional Medical Center announces the hiring of new directors in four critical areas; the Emergency Department, Perioperative Services, Finance and Human Resources. Jessica Kon, MSN, RN, CEN has joined Milford Regional as the director of emergency services. The role includes leading and participating in quality related activities to improve service, advance nursing practice, meet regulatory requirements and ensure optimal patient care. Kon was most recently the nurse manager of Emergency Services at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in Florida. She brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to her role, with experience as an emergency department nurse, assistant manager, nurse manager and advanced clinical education specialist. Jennifer Larrabee, BSN, RN has been named director of perioperative services and surgical weight loss. In her role at Milford Regional, Larrabee is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, patient-family-centered care through the continuum of perioperative care delivery—outpatient surgery, pre-operative care, operating room, post-anesthesia care, sterile processing and anesthesia support services. Larrabee was most recently the director of Surgical Services at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Larrabee has more than 30 years of clinical experience, including time as a bariatric clinical coordinator, clinical nurse leader, and nursing director. “As role models for service excel-

for Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Judy Kelly. Iliana Ortiz Pappas has been hired as the director of revenue cycle. In this role, she oversees patient access and billing. She joins Milford Regional bringing more than 35 years of experience in revenue cycle operations. Most recently, Ortiz Pappas worked on the revenue cycle processes at both MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham and Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. “I am thrilled to have Iliana join us at Milford Regional,” says Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer Beth Cadle. “She brings decades of experience in revenue cycle operations, and her work at other organizations has already led to improved workflows and a more positive experience for our patients.” Sandi Silvestro has been named director of benefits, responsible for overseeing employee benefits, managing vendor relations and ensuring compliance requirements are met. She has more than 35 years of experience, gained most recently as the senior manager of compensation and benefits at Analogic, where she worked for 15 years. According to Vice President of Human Resources Alice Hall, “We are excited to welcome Sandi to oversee the design and administration of all our benefits, retirement, time off, and leave programs.
