Crime Writers in Conversation Gillian Galbraith & Shirley McKay Wednesday 21 November | 7pm Loch Leven Community Campus Tickets £5 Shirley McKay is the author of six books with Polygon, including the Hew Cullen Mysteries set in St Andrews. She will be in conversation with local Kinross author Gillian Galbraith, whose seven books with Polygon include the Alice Rice Mysteries. The two authors will chat to each other about why they became writers, sources of inspiration, the importance of place and character in their work and crime writing in general. They will also discuss the books they are currently working on and the different ways in which they approach the writing process.

Being part of a choir is also a great way to get to know people and make new friends. This concert showcases the variety of choirs and singing groups to be found in our local area. Choirs participating this year will include Cleish & Fossoway Choir, Earn Singers, Hillfoot Harmony, Kinross Parish Church Choir, Leven Voices and St Serf’s Singers (with others possibly to be added). Festive Street Market & Light Up Kinross 2018 Saturday 24 November | 4pm-7pm Come along to Kinross High Street and enjoy a bustling festive atmosphere and fit in some Christmas shopping! As in the past few years, there will be a great variety of stalls with local produce from producers from the Kinross Farmers’ Market and numerous stalls from crafts people, local organisations and businesses. Swansacre Playgroup will organise a Countdown to Christmas with a Santa’s Grotto in the Church Centre. Great festive entertainment with carol singing, live music, delicious hot food and mulled wine! Many High Street shops stay open late. The market will be followed by the Light Up Kinross Celebrations at 7pm.
