I am Paul, Executive Director of KSC. I am responsible for the overall performance and development of the organisation.

I am supported in my role by Heather & Shona, Support & Care Managers. Leading teams across Fife and Forth Valley, Heather and Shona are also our Registered Managers with the Care Inspectorate.

Who Monitors Us?

KSC is registered with the Care Inspectorate Scotland to provide Housing Support, Care at Home and Care at Home Services for Children (Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001).  All our services are inspected on the Health and Social Care Standards.

Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)

The SSSC has been creating professional registers for all staff working with children and vulnerable groups for a number of  years.

The SSSC Register was set up under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 to regulate social service workers and to promote their education and training.  Click Here for more information on SSSC.

As a provider of care at home and housing support, all staff working for KSC will be required to register and maintain their registration.

It is the responsibility of each staff member to apply for registration.  KSC  cannot do this for you but will  support you in your application and further information will be provided to you in due course by your line manager.

Lee Herd

Lee Herd is KSC’s Recruitment and Staff Development Coordinator, and a member of our Business Support Team. You will meet with Lee as part of our New Start Journey Pathway during and beyond your probation period.

Part of Lee’s role is to  make sure the steps are all in place for the delivery of your induction, training, professional development and future career progression.

The PBS team consists of Gillian Bruce - PBS Coordinator, Jackie Mooney - Learning and PBS Adviser and Claire Reilly - Learning and PBS Development Worker. The PBS team works with people to understand how they wish to live their lives and their desired outcomes.  They also work with individuals and staff teams  to give support and guidance, build confidence and address challenges. Policies and Procedures

Our On-Call

Supporting our staff is very important to us.  We operate a 24 hour management On-Call service provided by KSC Coordinators.  The aim of the service is to provide staff with an emergency contact when our offices are closed between 5.00pm and 9.00am and at weekends.

During 9.00am and 5.00pm you should make direct contact with your Coordinator.  Only in the event of an emergency should you contact On-Call between the hours of 11.00pm and 6.00am.  Our On-Call service and how and when to use it will be fully covered with you as part of your service induction.

GDPR

Within KSC it is essential that all staff are aware of and follow Kingdom Group policies and procedures in respect of data protection and confidentiality as detailed in our Privacy Policy.  You will receive in depth training on this topic during your induction period.

Attendance Management

We have policies and procedures in place which underpin the importance of attendance at work.  Our Attendance Management Policies and procedures will be fully covered with you as part of your formal and service inductions.

Social Media

KSC uses a range of social media platforms to share our stories, career opportunities and generally what everyone is up to across our range of services, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn and see what we are up to.

We have social media guidance in place to keep supported individuals and staff safe when joining social networking sites and requesting and accepting friends requests.  These are covered in our Employee Conduct Policies and will be fully covered with you as part of your service induction.
