litigation to remediation. This shift led to layoffs, and Kate found herself without a job. It was at this point that her father, a builder, suggested she obtain her real estate license. They collaborated on a project in Lafayette, and Kate’s real estate career began. She initially worked in sales at a Century 21 branch in Boulder before eventually taking over her father’s business and running her own brokerage for 27 years. However, after nearly three decades in the industry, Kate sought a retirement plan for herself and joined eXp Realty one year ago. eXp Realty is a cloud-based brokerage with a global presence in 24 countries and over 89,000 agents. Kate has found a vibrant community of top producers who inspire and mentor each other, fostering professional growth and success. “While I ran my own brokerage, I navigated the real estate landscape without the guidance of mentors. She deeply values the collaborative environment that she now enjoys as a part of eXp Realty. Kate’s coaching aspect is something she provides that might be overlooked by some individuals. She offers coaching from a Christian worldview mindset, providing guidance and support to fellow agents. Through weekly Mastermind seminars and attraction events, her intention is to pour into the real estate community and foster professionalism and growth among her peers.

One of Kate’s recent attraction events included a six-minute business plan session with a coach from Hawaii, uncovering a fantastic concept for concise yet detailed planning. In February, she will coordinate a “wear your heart on your sleeve” social event for agents to network, share about themselves, and connect on listings. She also recently conducted a seminar on marketing to various generations, exploring the distinct learning and communication styles across different age groups.

She started a yoga nonprofit called Frog Pose Yoga, offering free, non-judgmental yoga classes. She also supports the Boulder Pregnancy Resource Center, where she connects with families, mothers, and
