JACKSON
FAULT. Not a word one normally thinks of as being positive. Yet, with Josh Jackson, it’s a good thing. Jackson, REALTOR® for LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, the renowned realty company that offers high-end properties, understands the law of attraction when it comes to his love of people and elegance and says he is “committed to a fault.” Relentlessly. He is more often than not available and readily responds to his client’s needs. And who wouldn’t be happy to work with someone so devoted to their trade?
Jackson, a family man of four with two sons, 4 and 7, grew up in California in a small town called Burlingame, in between San Francisco and Palo Alto. Jackson’s grandfather was a REALTOR® and a builder, and his father was a contractor, so you might say the real estate business was ably in his blood. unmist ak A lover of skiing, Jackson would come to Colorado to ski and got his first taste of our regal mountains early on. In 2010 he met his wife-to-be, who was from Boulder and soon after began traveling back and forth between Colorado and California. Working in the advertising and media sales business (including a stint with MTV) brought him wealth to be able to travel frequently. Yet he soon realized that working for someone else was not his first choice, and Jackson is all about making deliberate choices. Tired of traveling hours each day to go to someone else’s office and remembering how much he enjoyed helping his dad build beautiful, upscale homes and living in world-class places, Jackson decided to go into real estate. The fact that he genuinely loves people and authentically believes in that human connection, from one heart to another, inspired him to make the leap, trusting the net would appear. And it did. He deliberately chose Boulder for the upscale town that it is, wanting that perfect balance of the small, doable town with the arts, higher education and the rather mild climate; in other words, a fun town with so much to do, enjoy and latch onto, that lucky star with the myriad of amazing opportunities. In fact, Boulder was rated as one of the best places to live in 2020 and 2021, and it’s Jackson’s goal to help families navigate their way to participate in this sublime lifestyle. And he loves the variety of people here. Smiling widely, he says he is “proud to be a Boulderite!”

Being in the corporate advertising and sales world, he could see that the decision-makers had no emotional connection to the people they worked with. This didn’t align with him or his futuristic dreams to provide people with meaning, building strong identity and a grounding purpose in life. On that same track, he discovered he was good at reading people, which is especially helpful when the clients are not transparent and have a tough time with decisions and may not ask for help when they sorely could use it.
